“NO!” said Jace, “I’m not letting Clary go!” he wrapped his arms around her to prove his point.

“It’s my own decision! How many more people will have to be taken before Maureen gets what she wants!” she pulled out of his arms, and folded her arms across his chest.

“What would Jocelyn do when she comes back to find that your gone!” everyone in the room remained silent, as they watched the couple bicker.

“Jace has a point!” interrupted Magnus. “I’m not saying that we should leave Tessa there, but what if we could get her back without handing over Clary, Jace and Simon?”

“I don’t think that’s the best idea…” said Raphael fidgeting.

“I don’t trust him,” said Clary, sitting up in bed.

“Why?” asked Jace, as he climbed in beside her, shuffling to the left to look at her.

“First of all where and how did he get the letter? And why was he the only one to object to Magnus’ suggestion?”

“We’ll tell the rest tomorrow, and from now on we won’t say anything in front of him,” suggested Jace turning off the light. Clary nodded unsure, turning off the light. Clary nodded unsure, and turned around, attempting to fall asleep.       *                      *                      *                      *                      *

“They won’t take the deal, they want to get the girl back and keep Clary Jace and Simon,” said Raphael, glad that he didn’t have to tell her face to face.

“Then we will just have to take them…”the line was cut off, and Raphael stared at his phone for a few minutes before shaking his head and shoving it into his jacket pocket.

“So wait, you think that Raphael is working with Maureen?” said Simon, scrunching his eyebrows together.

“Nah shit!” said Jace. Although there was no proof that he was a spy, but in their situation, they had to take precautions. They spent an hour going through plans.

“So does everyone know the plan now?” asked Magnus and everyone nodded. Clary, Jace and Simon would hand themselves over in return for Tessa. Which would lead to the rest of them breaking in- wherever she was- and getting them back. It all seemed so obvious, but that was simply beating Maureen at her own game, she wouldn’t be expecting it.
