So I know this is hard to believe, but I hate author’s notes, and I unintentionally seem to do them a lot so I promise I will never ever again put up an author’s note unless it is completely necessary.

So I know I said I would finish my update last Thursday, but my wifi has been really shit since then, and I haven’t found the time to update.

Anyway don’t worry, this ain’t an author’s note, it’s an actual update J

Hope you like it and please comment and vote.

Clary didn’t know how on earth she would manage to get to… wherever the rest of them were, but she had a plan- that would either miraculously work, or fail terribly- most likely the latter, but she hoped for the best. She had left the institute without informing Alec, and she doubted he’d notice her absence. She was dressed in black leggings, a simple black t-shirt, a leather jacket, and boots. She had her steel tucked into her boot (yes I copied that from Wizards of Waverly Place), and she carried a few knives inside her jacket.

The street she had wandered down provided no light, so she grabbed her witchlight and illuminated the space. The building on either side of her had no windows and the concrete was discoloured, while moss grew up the sides. She wasn’t able to see how long the street stretched onward, or whether it came to a dead end. The only other feature that was visible was the rubbish scattered along the side. The air smelled of smoke, and was unusually heavy, almost weighing her down.

Magnus waited in the shadows. He knew it was a cliché move, but even so he knew it would work. A small silhouette emerged at the corner of the street. It moved slowly and with caution. He knew who it was, even if it was just a shadow. Standing there waiting was one thing, the only sign that indicated his task was his mind at war, but seeing her approach made it feel so much more real, and he didn’t want anything more than to slow down the time and drag out her arrival.

He struck her with a simple stunning spell. (don’t know if that exists but sure…) Her body crumpled to the floor, with her hair sprawled around her in a puddle. He hesitated, just standing there staring at her.

I’m doing this for Alec, I’m doing this for Alec! He reminded himself, but no matter how many times he repeated it he couldn’t convince himself that it was completely the right thing to do.

This is extremely short so sorry about that. I definitely won’t have much time to update in the next month or so because I have my summer exams coming up and my sister’s communion, so I have to get ready for those. Btw I read over the whole story last night and I have loads of grammar mistakes and stupid tense changes and stuff like that  :/

Pleeeeease vote and comment and if you have any suggestions tell me <3
