Alec hadn't had a second thought as to where everyone had gone- well except Magnus of course! Usually Magnus would visit the institute, but he hadn't in the past week, and that worried Alec.

He walked into the training room to find Clary sleeping on the floor mats. He knocked once on the door, making his presence known.

"What! Are they back?" was the first thing she said, as she rubbed her eyes letting them adjust to the light.

"No." he said flatly, picking up a knife.

"Do you even care?" she asked, more fiercely, standing up now.

"I'm sure they can take care of themselves," he shrugged, letting the knife fly through the air and sink into its target.

"Alec! YOUR SISTER, JACE AND MAGNUS ARE GONE WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION AND YOU DON'T GIVE A FUCK! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!" she threw her hands up in the air. He hadn't expected her outburst, and at first he continued throwing the knives, as he thought of a good response- but then again that was Jace's speciality.

"So now you're ignoring me! Fine." She stormed out, slamming the metal door behind her. This time the knife buried itself three inches away from the target.

Just when she and Jace had the chance to be a 'normal' couple, he had been taken away from her again. And similar to last time, she was the only one that seemed to care! She slammed the bedroom door behind her, and threw her jacket, which she'd been wearing, across the room. It hit off the silver box on the bedside locker, knocking it onto the ground.

She rushed over and re- assembled all of the belongings back into Jace's box and gently placed it back where it had been. That's when she noticed th3e crumpled letter under the bed!

Isabelle could hear the blood curdling screams, that weren't that hard to identify- they were Jace's. Each scream ripped through her, sending shivers down her spine, and no matter hard she tried she couldn't block it out.

"Where is she?" shouted Maureen, leaning over him.

"I...I... don't know," he whispered. She sank her teeth into the exposed flesh on his arm. He bit his bottom lip, trying to suppress another scream; refusing to let her know how much pain she was inflicting on him.

Maureen was practically feeding on Jace right in front of Simon. The smell grew stronger, as did his hunger. He was sure he couldn't last much longer, ad he feared the reason for his starvation.

Dear Clary,

I'm sorry I left without telling you first but I knew you would've wanted to come. Sebastian is working with Maureen- well that's my theory- and I couldn't let him near you, so we went instead. Don't you even consider rescuing us, because my attempt to save you will be for nothing.

Love you,

Jace.

At first she was furious that they had left her behind, but then she began to think rationally. If Sebastian really was working with Maureen then he wouldn't give up that easily. And of course he wouldn't show them any sympathy for arriving without her. If he wanted Clary, then that's what he'd get.

Are you crazy? Wait don't answer that, because I already know that you are! She heard Simon's voice in her head.

Please Clary, don't do it! He'll kill you! She heard Jace's pleading voice. She shook her head furiously, and ran up to the training room.

Magnus examined his surroundings. The walls were purple- which added a bit of colour-while the floor was covered with black carpet. There were no windows, since they were underground, yet on each wall they were golden curtains- kind of ironic. The rest of the room was bare, not including the black leather couch he was sitting on, and the candles scattered along the walls- which were far from romantic candlelight, instead they made the room more eerie.

"Took you long enough!" huffed Magnus, crossing his arms across his chest.

"I was busy," she wiped the back of her sleeve across her mouth.

"Subtle!" he remarked.

"Did you come for something specific?" she asked glaring at him from across the room, where she was leaning against the unessential windowsill.

"Have you kept your side of the bargain?" he had suddenly become more serious. She nodded.

"Of course I have! Your ex is safe. But if Clary doesn't show up soon he won't be around much longer," she licked her lips and shrugged, as if to say it wasn't her fault.

"Don't touch him! If she isn't here in the next two days, I'll be the one to get her. Once you have her, you let Tessa go and you don't harm Alec."

Sorry if there are any grammar mistakes or anything. But I have an excuse! I was wearing fake nails when I was typing this chapter, and trust me it is not an easy thing to do!

I will admit that the end of this chapter wasn't my initial idea, but I owe the idea to jacelovertmi- I think that's the account name, sorry if I got it wrong. Anyway I came up with the reason myself, but jacelovertmi commented on my last chapter referring to Magnus' motives.

Hope you like this chapter :) PLease comment and vote xx
