I walked into third period a few minuets late. I had to wash off the mascara streaks and aply some more.

'Miss brown, you're late'

'Yeah sorry I um got lost' this was the most convincing thing I could come up with.

I sat down in the only free seat near a wall not next to anyone.

I started to take notes and I felt something hit the back of my head. I looked down and saw a crumpled but of paper on the floor by me.

I turned around to see who it was that was bothering me, it was Finn. Suddenly I wasn't pissed off anymore.

'Hey there princess' he whispered in my ear

'I guess we're seeing each other again sooner than we though' I whispered back

'I guess so' he said smirking.

He looked good when he was smirking.

'Mr Wolfhard, stop annoying the new girl' the teacher sighed

'Oh I'm sorry sir she's just so pretty'

'Typical' the teacher said under his breath

Finn winked at me as I turned away blushing, did he just call me pretty?

I didn't turn around to Finn for the rest of the lesson but I knew he was staring st me even if it was just the back of my head.

'So I want you to pair up with someone and do a presentation on a book of your choice'

I sighed because I knew I didn't have anyone to got with, I'd be the last person anyone would pick. I did consider Finn but who was I kidding, he probably had tons of friends he'd rather go with than me.

The bell rang finally signalling break, I walked to the front office to pick up some text books and then I made my way to my locker.

Finn was leaning against my locker waiting for me.

'What's rocking princess'

'What's rocking?' I questioned laughing.

'So, I was wondering wether you wanted to be my partner, for the book thing you know' he asked eagerly.

'Oh, sure I'd love to' I said

A wide smile spread across his face.

'But'

His smile faded.

'But what?' He demanded.

'But, I've already picked out my book and I don't think you'll like it' I said.

'Well then, how about we use the book I wanted then' he grinned.

He rummaged around in his bag for a few seconds and pulled out very batter book. To the lighthouse, my favourite book. The book I was going to do my report on.

'No way' I whispered

'What?'

I opened my locker and pulled out a copy of the same book, I just grinned I didn't need to explain.

'Well well, you can't say to being my partner now princess' he grinned.

'I guess we're partners then' I said returning the smile.
