I had no idea when Finn was picking me up but I knew it would be early morning. I was up and ready by six just in case.

I was glad that I was because Finn showed up at my doorstep and six fifteen. I really hoped we weren't walking far because it was still early and I was still tired.

'Morning princess' he said win a grin.

He looked fresh and awake. There was no trace of bags under his eyes from tiredness like there was under mine.

'Will you tell me where we are going now' I whined.

'Nope' he teased.

'Is it far to walk?' I asked in a grumpy voice

Finn turned around with his brow furrowed.

'Walk? Who said anything about walking?' He laughed.

'Well I just assumed that we would-ohh' I stopped and let out an accidental sigh.

Parked on the curb outside my house was a blue van. The kind of van a hippie would live in but also the cool kind of van.

'Your carriage, princess' he said, laughing as he said princess.

I pulled open the heavy door of the passenger seat and climbed in.

'Can you actually drive?' I asked slightly worried, after all he was to young to have his licence.

'Relax I've been driving this thing for about a year now' he said trying to sound resourcing.

I didn't know wether to feel comforted or more worried by that statement.

I started to feel more and more relaxed the further away from home we got. The roads were quiet as it was still early, it was so peaceful.

Finn pulled out a CD from the side compartment in his door and put it in the player.

The opening chords of a song I knew very well blasted out of the speakers of the small van.

'Ooh I love this song' I breathed.

'You like MGMT?' Finn asked somewhat surprised.

'Like? More like love' I laughed.

'This happens to be my favourite song actually' he said, not once taking his eyes off the road.

I closed my eyes leaning my head against the cool window. Thinking about all the memories this song brought back.

I felt so calm, I think I was just drifting off to sleep and then Finn started shouting.

'Is said oh girl, shock my like an electric eel' he sang loudly.

I opened one eye to watch him.

'Baby girl' he yelled.

'Turn me on with your electric feel' I shouted.

He turned towards me, happiest I had ever seen him. Next thing we were both singing along at the top of our voices.

The song ended but the happy feeling didn't go away.

'Maybe princess, maybe this can be our song' he whispered

'Yeah, our song' I whispered back.

Our song

I thought to myself as I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up in the passenger seat of a van with sunlight shining in my face.

I remembered I was with Finn. He was taking me somewhere. He was taking me on a date. Shit. Was this a date?

'Hello princess' he said

He didn't even turn to look at me, he was so concentrated on the road.

'How long was I asleep?' I asked stifling a yawn.

'Hmm about two hours' he said looking at the clock on the dash board

'You should of woke me' I said gently

'You're pretty when you sleep, you look so young and peaceful' he said simply.

'Not that you're not pretty anyway, because you are pretty' he added, red filling his cheeks.

'Thank you' I said, trying to act cool.

'So how far away are we?' I asked steering the conversation away from wether I was pretty or not.

'Hmm about an hour without traffic' he said.

'Good thing I like long car journeys' I laughed.

We sat in silence for a good fifteen minuets, Finn watching the road and me watching the other cars fly past.

'Finn' I said twirling a strand of hair in between my fingertips.

'Millie?' He pressed for me to go on.

'Why do you call me princess?' I blurted out.

He grinned and turned his head to look at me.

'Simply because, you look like a princess' He said.

'Well, thank you' I said laughing abit.

I had always felt so self conscious about myself, but when I was with Finn all the negative feelings about my looks and personality went away. Finn actually made me appreciate myself.

That was one of the many things I loved about him.
