The day was Thursday May 25, a week after Lucy had her spectacular graduation party. Natsu was there and they danced together like no one else in the world existed, but like every fairy tale the night came to an end with a friendly hug and a parting. Today on the other hand was nothing anyone expected, especially Natsu and Lucy.

"Oh Lucy honey hurry up and get up were going to a business partners anniversary party and I need you to look your very best. So we need to get you dressed and groomed." My mother's loud voice shook me from my slumber 'Is she talking to me or Plue, because I certainly don't need "Groomed"'. I yawned, stretched and walked out of my room. It was '6:56 am'

"Mom how did you get in my apartment, because I don't remember giving a key?" I asked all groggily because it was pretty obvious I just woke up. I scratched the birds nest that lye in my hair and I tried to flatten it to look at least decent.

"Oh my Lu you're a mess, go shower and get dressed were going shopping for a new dress for the party, it's a very formal event so were getting you a new gown, and Lucy..." My mother said.

"Yes?" I turned back around to face her.

"Brush that big mess you call hair, we can't have you giving the salon a hard time trying to tame that beast." My mother giggled like a school girl, I smiled and rolled my eyes at her and dragged my body to the bathroom. "I'll start some breakfast for you to so hurry." My mom shouted as I shut the door. I stripped all my clothes off and tossed them in the hamper and turned the handle to warm, slipped in and took a quick shower.

"Mooommm, we've been here for 3 hours I want to go home." I wined like a little kid.

"Well, if you could just choose we would've been done a long time ago but you're too picky." She stated.

"Mom all the dresses you put me in have too much skin showing, and then the others I look like a nun. I need a simple dress."

"Oh, whatever you're just difficult, just like your father," I mother sighed and I went on to continue the search for a dress. We have gone to 4 stores and nothing, absolutely nothing I want or like, 'why can't I just wear one of my older gowns, they're nice enough' 'Nope, when mom wants something she's gonna get it and in this case me in a new gown.' I sigh and look at the racks and racks of dresses in this store. "Lucy come here, I think I found the perfect gown for you." My mother called from the other end of the shop. I came around the corner and looked at my mother holding a navy blue dress with gold embroidery all along the sides to the back, the back was open and the front had a little plunge that would show a little more than necessary, but it was beautiful and the front had a little slit that would show some of my toned legs.
