••A Week Later••

"Justine stay. I need to talk to you. Everyone else can go." Ms. Washington said with a smile.

Once the last student was gone I turned to her curiously. "Am I in trouble?"

She shook her head and went to her desk. "Not at all. It's the exact opposite actually."

She handed me a paper off her desk with the brightest smile.

I furrowed my eyebrows and took the paper. After reading over it I gasped and looked up at her. "Is this foreal?"

She clasped her hands together and nodded.

"So you mean to tell me I have a payed photography internship? This isn't a joke?"

"No it's real. Congratulations!"

I smiled and looked at the paper again. "But how did- when did-?"

"I made a few phone calls and sent in your project to a couple people and this company thinks you have potential."

"Oh my goodness! Thank you so much. I love you for this."

She laughed. "You're welcome and I'm moving you to the advanced class as promised."

I nodded. "That's great. Thank you."

"So they want you to call them tomorrow at one and after that you should be good to go."

"Ok. I really can't thank you enough Lacey."

"Just show me how thankful you are by being great ok?"

I nodded. "Of course. I'll see you later."

"Bye hun."

I walked towards the door and waved one more time before leaving. I sighed happily as I made my way to my dorm. Today is a good day so far.

I barged into Remi's room and squealed. "Guess who's got a paid internship at a photography company!"

Remi jumped off her bed. "Bitch I know you lyin'!"

I shook my head. "Nope I'm so serious. I have to call them tomorrow."

"Oh my god I'm so proud of you sis! We gotta celebrate."

I laughed. "Celebrate how?"

"I don't know but we can start by going to get something to eat at the cafe. You haven't been there since you been here."

I nodded. "Ok sounds good to me."

"If I need another fry I'm gonna explode."

She laughed. "I told you not to order all them damn fries."

"But I love fries." I picked one up and brought it to my mouth only to gag and put it bag on my plate.

Remi laughed again shook her head. "Fat ass."

I smiled and stuck my tongue out. "Ass fat. Yeah I know."

"I can't deal with you right now. I'll be back I'm gonna go get a refill."

I nodded and looked back at my fries. "Maybe just one more." I mumbled to myself.

I stared at them and shook my head while rubbing my stomach. "Never mind."

I heard laughter from behind me causing me to turn around. Shaun and a few other basketball players walked in including Ant. I stared at him for a moment until I saw a girl approach him.
