Karana stared at me and Jackson with her dark red eyes and smiled. I pushed up so I could sit up straight against Jace's chest and stomach. "She's lying right?" I asked and then shook my head and laughed. "Of course she is lying, there is no way you would betray us!" I laughed as Karana stood from her chair with a little wobble like she was drunk. Oberdorom stood with an eyebrow raised then a light flashed over him and it turned back to Jackson. He kept the same look on his face. The look of disbelief.

Karana raised her head and thick blood rushed from her open mouth. She was trying to say something, but what? Then all of a sudden it went dark. It looked like a mix of black, blue, and violet. Like at twilight. Karana reared her head back then pushed it forward with a humongous scream! Her eyes flashed with a bright red as more and more demons came from the dark shadows. Karana's body and face seemed to crack like glass under the pressure of her never ending scream.

I flew back from the tornado wind and hit Jace with the back of my head. He grunted and we flew back together and hit the wall. I hit my face straight in the wall and it was like it was stuck there. I flipped quickly around and a demon was heading for me. I glanced over to Jackson and saw something fairly surprising. He was scared! His hands sturdied his body on the ground and he kept his eyes closed. I jumped up but, was quickly pushed back into the wall.

Jace leaned over me and shouted over the noise. "This is a classical demon possession. It isn't like a demon takeover because you can do that when you want to. This,. This is when you can't help it!" He turned to see Karana walking slowly towards us, smiling while she did. She looked like a little girl that was trailing beside a river and trying to balance herself. She stopped up short as a large boulder knocked her head back.

It looked as if it was disconnected from her body and she had a longer neck than before. She pulled it up with a long effort and her eyes shone the same blood color. A loud enough creak in her neck snapped her head back into place and she peered behind her with a look of frustration. Jackson had threw the boulder. He stepped back when he realized Karana staring at him and dashed for Jace and me. "How do we stop the demon then mister wise guy?" I replied to his little lesson with a look of dismay. "You may not like this but,..."

He said what we needed to do and I lurched back with disgust. "That is really not ok! I can't do that!!" I exclamied fearfully and a demon edged closer. It jumped on me and we rolled together on the hard floor as I tackled it to the ground. It snapped it's abnormally large mouth at me and black acid flew out of it's mouth. It burned my flesh and I took a second to wipe it off. But, that second cost me my position. It flung me off of it's body and straight into the worst thing possible. Karana.

The fire of the blow knocked both me and karana to the ground with a great force. I flipped over on her, pressing my elbows down weakly into her stomach. She just laughed and grabbed my arms. "Stupid human. Only Heaven's or Hell's power can substain me!" She smiled and her teeth had been covered with fresh blood. I gasped and felt a painful sensation in my heart. The demon was killing her from the inside.

Karana threw me to the ground and my head hit against the floor. She released and was about to hit again when a dark shadow felt it's way in front of me. It was Jackson. He had my katana in his hand and held it with pride and confusion on how to really hold it. I smiled and I heard Jace call from behind us. "Do it Vanessa! It's the only way!" He screamed as I tell he was out of breath. He was battling the fierce demons with a dainty blade and he looked very beaten. "Got it!" I called and whispered the plan to Jackson.

Karana stared with annoyance and pulled back with another high deafening scream. "I AM LOSING MY PATIENTS YOU HUMAN URCHENTS!" She screamed louder and sprinted for both of us with disgust on her dull face. I stepped back and bright lights surrounded Jackson and I. Then after a quick moment of waiting, I stepped forward with new found confidence. "The purple really brings out your eyes Glamadora!" Jackson or should I saw Oberdorom announced beside me.
