I hurtled through the air straight for her. My teeth pressed so hard together they might have broke from the force. A flash went before my eyes and It only took a minute to realize she had stepped out the way. I flipped forward before landing and landed on both my feet. I turned around quickly to see her smiling. "Oh little girl. So coy, so.... Vulnerable." She smiled and headed for me. Her eyes were so cold and black that they looked...... Like a demons.
I stood there, hypnotized by her darkening eyes. You would have thought they couldn't get any darker. But, then they did. I was snapped out of my concentration when a gush of wind sent my flying to the wall. The back of my head started to spread blood everywhere. She laughed a cold and dead laugh. "Oh little girl. You fight so badly. Don't you know that your sister needs help?" she asked dramatically and put a hand up to her forehead to show she was acting. " just imagine. Oh dear sister! Please help me! Where are you? I need-," Before she finished I dashed to her and jabbed my sword through her side.
She looked down in surprise and back up to meet my already staring eyes. Then the unexpected happened. She laughed and her blond hair fell from the increasing wind. She laughed, harder and harder. I screamed when I got picked up by the swirling, tornado like wind. I heard Clary scream in horror and Jace whispering it was ok by her side. Helen finally stopped laughing as she flung me to the floor in the harshest way known to man.
I gasped in agony and looked down at my self. I was covered in blood. Fresh and old and Helen was striding towards me. A look of victory on her hardened face. At that moment I thought back to how I was before. I never would have thought about me, fighting to the death for a sister I never knew about. A memory came to mind as quick as a bolt of lighting flashes down.
Jackson ran along the sandy lining of the ocean. He almost stumbled when he saw me in the two pieced swimsuit sitting at the edge of the water. He laughed and dashed along the sand, kicking up pebbles as he went. He fell down next to me and we leaned against each other. Watching the sun set over the crystal blue ocean.
Helen now towered over me and leaned down close. "I never liked you anyway. I wish you could say bye to your sister. But, you can't. So die now and always be haunted by the thought." Always be haunted by the thought. She tightened her hold on the sword and pushed it by my chest. "Never." I mumbled and pushed the sword to the side. She stepped back in shock as I jumped up and ran to her. I pushed my foot out and she fell to the ground still looking dazed. I flipped my foot around but she caught it and sent me back a few feet. Never. I felt for my katana again and rolled quickly towards her. I sent my sword flying forward, but she moved away quickly. I looked up at the ceiling and realized there was a chandelier.
"Your waisting my time little girl. You are dead now. You won't like me when I'm impatient!" She screamed and sprinted for me. Everything slowed and I thought about the sunset I saw with Jackson. Always be haunted by the thought. As she was inches away from stabbing me through the chest, I jumped. It was about 30 feet from the ground. As I was in air, the fire surrounded me and it flew me up higher. I hung from the chandelier and smiled when I saw her stare at me in disbelief. Then, the chandelier broke from the ceiling from having to much weight on it, and I hurtled towards Helen. Smiling while I did.
Everything was slow motion now. As I liked it. I pushed my weight so the chandelier would be in front. The fire flew around me in a extrodinary light. I swirled around nearing her every second. The chandelier lit up from my burning fire and it surrounded the light. It hit her. Running straight through her face. She cascaded to the ground and blood erupted from her body. She screeched and screeched a high pitched sound as she lay on the ground, obviously in pain. I rolled off on the ground and coughed thick blood from my throat.
Helen reached up and dragged the chandelier out of her face. "Impossible!" I exclaimed under my breath as she turned her eyes. I gasped as I saw her remarkable eyes shine brightly. They turned dark orange and looked like glass marble cat eyes. "You win, for now. But, it's not over. Not now. Not ever. You'll find your sister in room 128." She whispered. Then closed her eyes. Still breathing hard. Jace ran over and pulled me from the ground. "You ok Vanessa?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"Sure, I am totally fine when I just almost died." I joked sarcastically and coughed more blood on the floor. I saw Clary run to me and hold me up as I was about to fall. "You lost a lot of blood. You sure you're ok?" She asked. The world started to spin as I looked at everyone's panicked faces. "I'm fine. I'm fin. I'm fi," I repeated and repeated realizing I was losing words. "I'm f. I'm. I. -......." I collapsed and stared at Helen laying on the floor. The last thing I saw was Helen turn her head around towards me. Her cat like eyes staring into my brown ones. Finally, she smiled her teeth jagged like a sharks. She is a demon! Then everything went dark. Sunsets. How beautiful.
