I stared at her for a moment completely confused. Then I started to burst out laughing. My stomach hurt from laughing to hard so I tried my best to calm down. It was starting to get cold outside so I quickly turned on my heel and started to stride towards the door when I felt something. Nothing was touching me, but I still felt something pushing me around harshly. "What the fuck?" I whispered feeling a little light headed.
Karana stood behind me, a purple glow coming from her hand. She threw her hand down and glared at me. "I'm not joking Vanessa, I'm your big sister." "Really then why don't I remember you?!" I replied absolutely sure she wouldn't have a comeback. But she did. "Cause they erased your memory when I left. They sent me away so that I wouldn't teach you how to do magic like me," I interrupted. "Magic isn't real, it is just an illusion." I snickered and turned my head. "Then how can I do this?" She spoke in a matter-o-factly voice. Her hand sparked again like before.
"My dad isn't here Karana, if that is even your mother fucking name and I don't have a dad. He died before I was born." I felt hot tears start to come in my eyes. The wind whisked them away before she realized. "That is my name," She started "Karana Jones. I use to live with you when you were young, but the magic government erased your memory of me and sent me off. With dad with me. Cause he could do magic too. I believe dad is still alive," Her eyes teared up. "But I need your help. I will teach you how to use some magic and we can both save dad and return home, together."
"How are we gonna do this?" I asked. Looking back at the school like I have never seen it before. "I just told you how we're gonna do it." She scowled taking out a large blade. She glanced over and saw my confused face and laughed. "It's a katana, but it has special fighting powers unlike real katanas." She shouted over the increased wind. "Ok, can I have one?" I asked holding out my hand for her to pass me one. "All in good time, but now we have to sneak into your house so you can pack your bag with clothes and weapons. We aren't going to be back for a while." She observed the cars in the parking lot and walked up to one. She smashed the window and connected wires together so the car would turn on. Of course she had to pick the nice Ferrari. It was dark purple and had black stripes going across the side. "Hold on," I yelled over to her and ran back into the school dropping the katana into the bush.
I sprinted up the curving stairs and pushed my way out of many people. Until I saw the Social studies room. I opened the door quietly and looked around. It had posters of maps and presidents all over the walls. Everyone was looking up at me, including Jackson. "Um..... can I speak to Jackson Green please?" Jackson quietly stood up, his face full of embarrassment and shoved my shoulder on his way out the classroom door. The hallways were deserted, only Jackson and I stood in the middle where no classroom windows were facing. "What the hell is wrong with you Vanessa, I was in class. Aren't you suppose to be in class?" He asked his voice raising with anger. "Yes, but a girl named Karana called me down to the office before I could go to class. She says she is my sister." He jumped up in surprise and stared at me like I was crazy. " So, do you believe her?" He replied full of curiosity. "Yes, and no. But the only way to believe her is to go with her. Right?" I smiled at him and turned around heading for the stairs. I paused and looked over my shoulder. "You coming?" I called over to him. He quickly dashed to my side and put his hand in mine.
We walked out of the front doors of the school, into the cold outdoors. Karana pulled the Ferrari up to the curb beside us and got out. She looked at Jackson first then back at me. "This is what you so urgently had to get that you dropped my katana in a bush!" She held up the red and white katana I had dropped in the herb bush by the entrance of the school. "First of all he is my best friend, where I go he goes, and second of all," I paused grabbing the katana from her hand." I put it in the bushes so the school wouldn't think I was going to come in and murder everyone!" I announced to her and spun the large katana between my dainty fingers. She glanced at Jackson again, then her face suddenly lit up. "Jackson? Jackson green? I remember you. You use to come over to play with Vanessa when you guys were younger!" She wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Jackson patted her on the back and quickly straightened up when she was finished.
"So, what are we doing?" He asked looking in the case full of weapons that Karana had in the trunk of the Ferrari. I quickly skimmed through the whole plan and what we had to do. "We have to sneak into your mom's house to try and get some stupid weapons?!" He asked uncertain we should follow through. "Yeah," Karana shouted from the drivers seat. "But there is more, get in." I handed him a black and white Katana and another weapon that I didn't pay that much attention to that Jackson seemed to love, and jumped into the passengers seat. After a moments hesitation he got into the back and shut the door hard behind him. "Good!" Karana said meekly. Then, suddenly she zoomed off, leaving the school and a trail of dust, behind.
