Chapter 4: No Place Like Home

I sighed deeply my palm propping my head.

We had already gotten off the private plane and were in the dark SUV. I found it funny that we weren't taking a limo. We always took limo's, but not now because we wanted to 'blend in'.

"So where we going?" I said boredom clearly in my voice as I stared out the window. I didn't really want to be here. I wanted to leave.

The reason for that was because this used to be my home. Till the little 'accident' happened.

"We can either show you to your home, or get something to eat," my boss said.

"My 'home' please," I answered inhaling the warm spring air. Well, it was actually February, but it was still warm.

Mr. Mercredi smiled and nodded to the driver from the mirror.

I almost burst out laughing when I saw the house. Knowing Mercredi, he would have gotten me a mansion, but what I saw was not so surprising.

It was a beautiful condo facing the beach. I smiled. I liked it even though it was clearly not black.

"I was expecting more from you Mercredi, but I like this more," I began walking to the white door with glass placed as designs around it making some of the inside visible.

"I know, but if I got you something more expensive it would have made you stand out. And I know you don't like when I spend too much money," he shrugged following me.

It was true. I didn't like him spending to much money on me. I liked when I spent his money myself.

I stuck the black key he had given me into the lock and opened the door. I practically gasped.

Most of the condo was made of glass, giving full view of the outside world, but we tinted so not much could be seen inside. the ground was some kind of a white black-spotted tile. The walls were a cream color, and the stair were even whiter.

I began wandering around and came into the kitchen which was also a white cream color. The cabinets were white with black occasional patterns and the granite tops were a white with black too. There was a large door leading out onto the patio, with chairs and tables.

I crossed the kitchen and into the living room which was way beyond cool. It had a mini bar and white plush leather couches, and a large flat screen T.V. with glass comfortable. The walls in here were a darker shade of cream going perfectly with the darker tile.

I continued my way up the grand staircase to the second floor that may I say was even better. Up here it was darker than downstair, with dark marble like floor. There were three doors. One with black swirls and the other two with gold swirls.

The black swirled white door was right in front of me but i saved it for last. I looked at the gold swirled door to my right and inside found a guest room with dark green sheets and a more dark wooden theme. I opened the other door reveling a small closet with towels and spray bottles and such.

I opened the black swirled door which turned out to be my room. The walls were a dark blood red with black swirls in some places but I loved it in that second.

There was a large bed with blood red plush blanket and the sheets and pillows where black and again had swirls.

I was really liking the swirls.

There was a large drap in red and black hanging from the large posts in the air making the bed look like a gothic princesses bed. The rest of the room was filled with black drawers.
