Chapter 5: Pit Stop

I smiled a bit, loving the feeling of wind in my hair. I was beyond glad that ever since I became a half vampire my hair didn't turn into a birds nest.

The thought of going back to school was depressing. I was probably older than your parents and they're making me go back to school? They are defiantly messed up.

My bike was most likely going 40 mph above speed limit, but I truly did not care. I was about to make the left on the small street to get to the school grounds when I saw something to my right.

I'm pretty sure I did an illegal turn right, but there was currently no cars around.

I pulled up at the one place I thought was like a piece of heaven.

Starbucks.

I parked in a space for two cars, cutting the engine off and hopping off.

I pushed my glasses to the top of my head and ran a hand through my hair. I grabbed my purse and keys and was on my way in. I noticed that there were three cars. I wasn't trying to be stalkerish or anything, but I was used to taking in my surroundings.

Pushing the door open and taking a small sniff I knew there were 15 people inside. I felt something vibrate in my purse and reached in there as I made my way over the familiar brown and green cafe.

I took my phone out and swiped my finger across the screen while with the other I drummed it against the counter.

I clicked on the new message, and it brought up two texts.

The first one had my phone's number and the second was from unknown.

One of my brows rose as I clicked on the unknown message. It read:

You left without goodbye?

I knew who that was from. And I was not happy. I felt anger well up in me. Who the hell did Josh think he was? That ass thought I had to say goodbye? Well, sucks for him!

I was gripping my phone so hard and was about to chuck it at the wall when a nice masculine voice with a small accent interrupted me.

"Pretty girl like you shouldn't look like she's going to chuck her phone."

I looked up at the figure my eyes checking him out so quickly as I looked up at him. My grip on my phone relaxed as I met his nice dark chocolate eyes. His hair was kind of buzz cut though you couldn't see his scalp.

He was smiling charmingly across the counter.

I smiled back.

"Thanks.......it just some dumb ass that doesn't understand the meaning of 'it's over'," I said very nonchalantly.

He brightened up as I said this and beamed a larger more 'she's mine' like smile. I heard a group of 5 guys? I think whispering to my left though I paid no attention.

"What can I get you love?" I ignored the love and smiled brighter.

I leaned in and said loud enough for the group of guys to hear, "How about someone who works here?"
