Chapter 9: Old Friends

The countless trees, suddenly, seemed to be endless.

I sighed, putting down the binoculars, and bringing my arm up to look at my watch strapped on my gloved left hand.

9:43pm.

Just 2 more minutes, I thought excitedly, then the real fun would begin.

I stood up, dusting my black tight pants that were sorta between leather pants and tights.

They were flexible and that's what counted.

And they defiantly made my top, just a black leather jacket, look amazing with the black, long, heeled, steel boots I was wearing.

My brown hair was straightened, and it was put up in a pony tail with my 'poof' bouncing on top.

(A/N I'm not sure what they're called haha, but I call the poofs:D)

The gloves were just for, let's say, certain 'issues' if I had any.

Remembering the picture from the file, that I had made sure to burn after I read it, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before checking my watch again.

9:45pm.

Well, here goes nothing!

I starting creeping through the forest, because the god damn file had failed to mention where the hell my assignment was located at!

It had only given a general area.

Since I was not going to be spending much time on my K.N.V mission (Kill Nicholas Verodarski), we barely knew each other and I don't think he would just show up at my doorstep and say 'Hey! Could I tell you my most deepest secret?'

That was a definite 'no'!

So anyway, since I was not going to be 24/7 on that mission yet, I had taken up another, because what I would do in my spare time is not such a good idea.

my assignment is to eliminate target, Joey Filliman, a vampire who has been threatening 'my company' so they would like me to eliminate.

Sometimes I wonder why they just write, 'Kill Joey Filliman and we are screwing with you by being too lazy to tell you where he is so move your ass and find him.'

Shaking my head, I ducked under one of the tree branches, my breath looking like fog coming out of my mouth in the cool night.

The image of my mother and me, sitting outside in the cool night, watching the twinkling stars and drinking hot coco filled my mind.

I let out a snarl, opening my eyes and before I knew it, my fist was crashing into the tree.

Then I stopped, my senses going on high alert.

My eyes quickly snapped to the ground, the thin trip wire gleaming in the moonlight.

Crap! How could I not have seen that!
