Recap:

My head was being propped up by my hand, and I was starring at the back of his head, but to others it would look like I was looking at the teacher.

He suddenly turned around.

But I was trained for this, and before he caught my gaze, I had lifted it to the teacher.

Slowly, my eyes traveled down like any other humans, to come into contact with his bright blue eyes.

Shit!

Chapter 11: Well Hello

I looked into his eyes with a bored expression, watching his eyes scan me before I decided to speak.

"May I help you?" I snapped, not wanting his eyes to keep checking out my bare legs.

His eyes, that seemed to be alive and pulsing with a electric blue flame, flickered up to me.

With a clenched jaw, he responded, "I think I should be the one asking you this."

I gave him a WTF look that didn't go unnoticed by the others.

"I see you're getting along with my brother," Dimitri chuckled.

I sighed, leaning back in my chair and sarcastically saying, "He's a real piece of work."

Luke being Luke, laughed out loud making kissy faces at me, "She thinks he's FFFFIIINNNEE!"

Seriously? What was wrong with these morons.

"No, I don't fancy people with anger issues," I returned crossing my arms and narrowing my eyes at Luke, "What went wrong with you? Did your mother drop you at birth?"

His laughter died down eventually.

Raising his hands in defeat he started to chuckle, "Damn woman! Calm your tits! I was kidding!:

My face went emotionless as I glared at him.

He did not just tell me to clam my tits!

Grabbing the book closest to me, I threw it at his face, sucessfully hitting him.

The look of surprise changed to a look of terror, then to a pained expression before the book fell heavily to the ground, getting the teachers attention.

"What is going on back there Luke?" He bellowed, my eyes rolling before facing the teacher.

Luke wasn't hesitant to answer and said he had dropped his book.

The teacher was about to say something as the bell rung, signalling the end of class.

Class.

That word was starting to piss me off.

I grabbed my bag, my eyes wandering back to Nick, who was still sitting in his seat, his head hanging down.

Hawaii. Hawaii. Hawaii.

I kept my head wrapped around the thought of going to Hawaii when I finished this job, for right now I was starting to doubt my decision.

He looked so......how could I put this, fragile?

Well, he looked like he could take down a whole army with his hands tied behind his back, but he looked......broken!

My humanity taking the best of me, made me do things that my subconscious did not appreciate. Like now. Ever since I had changed, the sweet kind girl that I used to be, so I was told, was gone.

I turned around, sensing someone about to touch me and came face to face with Dimitri.

He smiled, "Aren't you coming?"

I shook my head, showing what would be expected of a smile in return, "I have to talk to the teacher. I'll catch up with you later."

"I could wait fo.....," I cut him off before he could continue.

"It's fine, Dimka, seriously. I'll see you later," he smiled at his nickname, nodding and leaving the classroom.

The teacher had walked out, I was assuming as I looked at Nick.

He was sitting there, twirling a pencil in his hands, looking at the desk.

I took a seat at the end of the table, leaning back and crossing my arms, starring at his black hair openly.

It was so nice and soft looking. Each strand like the color of the raven black/blue night.

His hair curled a bit at the end of his neck, swooping gently behind his ear and going great with his not too pale, not too tan skin.

My eyes roamed the outline of his chiseled jawline, and the clean newly shaved face with the light smell of aftershave, to his high cheek bones and sculpted nose.

I looked at the hair above his forehead that curled at the end, almost close to his masculine eyebrows till they landed on the blue eyes starring back at me with intensity.

Check enemy completely out. Check.

Looking away to break his gaze from mine, I noticed how he had stopped twirling the pencil.

I sighed, dragging a hand down my face and looking back up into his tilted head that was watching me closely.

"I apologize for snapping," With that, I got up, dragging my bag which still had my weapons in it, onto my shoulder and heading for the door.

Fuck.

Fuck.

Fuck.

Fuck me.

Fuck this humanity.

I clenched my jaw. I would not permit this to happen once more. This was not good!

I can't get lost in checking out the enemy! For crying out loud! I didn't even notice that he had stopped tapping his fingers on the table till now!

My senses were on overdrive, and all I could hear was his chair scrap against the floor, and his scent suffocating the air around me as I quickly turned the corner, class had already begun so I just walked straight into the bathroom, pressing my back against the door.

I took a deep breath, my heart rate never changing from it's normal beat, my hand resting against my thigh, my knife strapped under my dress.

Well, wasn't that a nice hello?
