Recap:
I can't get lost in checking out the enemy! For crying out loud! I didn't even notice that he had stopped tapping his fingers on the table till now!
My senses were on overdrive, and all I could hear was his chair scrap against the floor, and his scent suffocating the air around me as I quickly turned the corner, class had already begun so I just walked straight into the bathroom, pressing my back against the door.
I took a deep breath, my heart rate never changing from it's normal beat, my hand resting against my thigh, my knife strapped under my dress.
Well, wasn't that a nice hello?

Chapter 12: Like This
In a vampire's life, there is always that one weird moment, that if they do go back to high school, that they feel so mighty and powerful, and put humans below them.
What can I say? It's true!
Humans were weak little things! Just like their P.E. teachers!
I sat there, in the school uniform, listening to the teacher ramble on and on about useless things.
Was this not Physical Education? Were we not supposed to be 'physical'?
Rolling my eyes, I stood up last as she yelled at us to head to the track.
Her eyes were narrowed at me, and all I did was smile at her like any good girl would, and headed for the track.
Back then, school used to be more hands on than it is now.
The girls all groaned as we walked out of the gym, the cold air making them shiver, but making me content.
It felt nice.
Changing had probably been one of the more harder tasks, counting that I had to change in the bathroom so I could take the knife strapped to my leg off, making the rest of the girls think I was insecure about myself.
As if!
I chuckled in my mind as I watched the girls jog slowly to the track, me being last and walking.
Of course these hormonal teens would start jogging once they see the guys playing football on the field inbetween the large track.
"Ev! You better start jogging that tush of yours before you fail my class!" the teacher yelled at me.
The whole class was almost halfway on the track, and I hadn't even reached it.
I sighed, glaring at the teacher while she yelled through her microphone at me to "get moving before she makes me run laps!"
And of course she yelled at me when I glared at her. Through the microphone once again, might I add, getting me much unwanted attention.
"Damn, Lady, calm yourself!" I yelled back at her, and we had already reached the track, and I did not hesitate to start sprinting.
I had always been a fast runner as a human, so I just used what human speed I had, and was quickly gaining on the gasping group of girls.
I slowed down once I reached them, faking my deep breathing to seem as if I was tired, before I took a couple seconds and began jogging alongside them.
