Chapter 6: My Impression

I cut the engine, letting out a large sigh as I pushed my glasses on top of my head.

School.

I could live for a million years and yet that word would send me over the edge. Seriously! I did not even understand the meaning of school!

They just make you go there since adults don't want their children staying home all day.

Puh-leese!

I shook my head, clearing my thoughts and getting my hair arranged. I was at school, I thought to myself getting off my bike.

Again.

Have to go through hell.

Again.

I grabbed my bag and my drink as my eyes surveyed the school. It looked normal.

Students in groups around the school, who should have been chatting, but their eyes were glued onto my figure.

I had forgotten to mention that this place has always been 'tight'.

Everyone knew, everyone and everything. Nothing went unheard. Sort of like a wildfire, spreading so quickly.

I took a sip of my drink and began taking my fingerless gloves off, my eyes taking in each and every camera here.

It had to be done carefully though. All these people were looking at me, which would have made me nervous if I wasn't a hunter.

Or slayer.

I prefer hunter since slayer made me sound too much like Buffy.

Though I didn't really care what people called me because either way my job was the same.

I kill my kind.

Shoving my keys in my bag, I sipped my drink as I caught sight of Dimitri.

I knew since my target was Nicholas Verodarski, that most likely Dimitri was his brother.

I have lived a long time, and I know almost every trick in the book.

"Hey Ev! Over here!" I heard Dimitri yell.

(A/N I am going to refer to Dimitri as Dimka, the shortened version, since Dimitri is pretty long)

I took a deep breathe, getting my mouth muscles to work as I turned around smiling at him. His friends kept eyeing me, like I was some piece of meat.

I was not a piece of meat!

I should be eyeing them like they were a piece of meat!

All that warm blood pumping thr......

I shook my head as I walked over to them.

Most of the student body was looking at me, occasionally whispering something that I didn't bother to hear.

"Hey Dimka!" I said his nickname that I had named him.

His friends chuckled along with him.

"I didn't know you were coming to our school?" He said.

"I didn't know you went to this school!" I stated back. Half of it was a lie.

"Well....it doesn't matter....so do you need help getting to your classes?" He asked back, smiling.

I nodded and smiled a bit at him as I handed him my schedule.

His eyes ran over my paper, as mine ran over his group. There was about 8 of them, and they all looked kinda tough. I don't think we need introductions, since not many cared.

They were all very handsome, but somehow I knew they were more of the perfect popular guys. There is a perfect populars, who are the straight A's and very attractive, then there are the bad populars, who are the bad boys and girls that get everyone's attention.

"Wow.....your in 5 of my 6 classes! That's awesome! I could show you around if you like?" Dimka said to me, smiling his cheeky grin.

I liked him, he was nice and sweet though there was something way off about him. Something even my years of experience couldn't explain.

The bell rang as Dimitri ushered me in.

                                                                     ***

(A/N     Ev is pronounced E-V-E)

"Class......we have a new student.......Ev Rivas," the teacher, who might I say looks like Einstein, said as he motioned for me to come to the front.

Good job boss! Use my real name! Note sarcasm.

Dimitri had helped me to my locker and we had homeroom together so it was a plus.

In the halls I had smelt a couple vamps, though I could tell they didn't drink blood. If they did their scent would be stronger.

Good thing I had learned to control mine, or I would be in some trouble. Nothing I couldn't handle though.

I sighed walking up to the front of the class, leaving Dimitri's side to do so. He had made me sit by him, and he even introduced me to some of his friends.

All human.

I thought. Is Dimitri a vampire?

I shook the thought. No, he couldn't be. I didn't get a single trace of scent from him. Maybe he learned to control it like me?

I shook that thought away too. He was too kind to be a vampire.

Hopefully it was just his brother.

I stood in the front of the class, looking at the students that had their eyes glued onto me.

I was going to pull all the guys eyes out for checking me out.

Pull them off and feed them to a goat.

"Go ahead......" the teacher said.

I huffed, "My name is Ev. I am 18 years old. I am from a place way cooler than here. And after I graduate I am going to Hawaii."

I looked at the teachers shocked face, but a large sound came.

I looked at the teacher, the teacher looked at the door.

"Well Nick, it's nice of you to show up to class today," the teacher said annoyed.

Oh boy!
