Chapter 7: Meeting The Target

I heard Nick grunt, as I watched a boy walk in front of me to his seat.

His dark black hair was slightly longer than his brother's, who I assumed was Dimitri, and he was just as well built.

I just noticed that Dimitri and Nick were a lot more alike than I thought. They both had black hair, and a dark feeling to them.

Oddly enough, they looked completely different though Dimitri had a positive attitude while Nick looked like he would gladly kill himself right now.

We weren't going to let that happen, now are we?

"You may take your seat now Ev. Class please turn to page 674 in your textbooks,'' the teacher said dismissing me.

Did he just diss me?

Yes. Yes, I think he just did!

I sighed as I walked back to my seat, my eyes glued to the Nick kid. He had sat on the right side of his brother, and his eyes were glued on what I think was his phone.

I sat back in my seat to the left of Dimitri.

"I liked your introduction," he stated as he smiled brightly.

His happy mood was contagious even though I didn't feel like smiling, I did.

"Thanks, I was just stating facts. This class is really boring," I stated.

He grinned like an idiot, "Finally! Someone who understands my pain!"

We high-fived each other, though I pulled my hand away at the last second and giggled.

He fell for it!

"Ohhhh! She got you!" Luke, one of Dimitri's friends said out loud causing the whole group to snicker.

"You guys are messed up," I said like they were little kids that had done something wrong.

They were messed up.

I watched Nick as he starred at the screen of his phone.

Wow!

I was actually expecting to have some fun on this mission. I wanted a challenge.

This wasn't a challenge.

Though it would be pretty awesome if I just stood up and shot a bullet into Nick's head.

Ah!

If only......!

My eyes wandered from Nick to Dimitri.

He picked that second to flicker his eyes in my direction, catching my stare.

His mouth spread into a goofy grin, like he caught me looking at him naked.

As if!

"I saw th....." he began but I cut him off.

"Did you know a moth has no stomach?" I asked quickly. Only way to stay away from weird things is to say something weird yourself.

Everyone stopped talking and looked at me. Even Nick looked up, though I was starring at Dimitri.

"Umm....no. A moth has no stomach," he paused then began laughing. "Never heard anything like that."

What can I say? I know useless info.

"You'll be thanking me one day when your on a T.V show and they ask you that," I snapped.

"Awww..common! I was joking! Thank you very much for your random outbursts!" Dimitri said  completely sincerely.

I smiled holding my chin higher.

"Now what were we talking about before?" he began thinking and looked at me for help.

"Male hospital patients fall out of bed twice as much as often as female hospital patients?" I asked in a question.

Everyone paused once more before laughing their heads off.

Almost literally.

Though we can make it possible.....okay murderous thoughts.

Dimitri looked at me with a questioning gaze.

"We need to know that why?"

I sighed crossing my arms, "You'll be careful next time your in the hospital for that amazing piece of info. I decided to share with you losers!"

"Hey! We're not losers!" some kid said, though he was ignored.

Dimitri pouted, and I couldn't help but look into his dark charming eyes.

"Anything else you would like out of your system?" he asked softly.

I smiled.

"Yes. Men are 6 times as more likely to get struck by lightening than women."

He began laughing.

What! It was a proven fact!..... that I oddly remember.

"How come each of your 'facts' involves men getting hurt?" Luke asked through his laughter.

"Because that's the only information my brain thinks is worthy of keeping," I answered seriously.

Then we all burst out laughing till the end of class.

"I make this class fun!" I said sometime in our laughing.

"Oh hell yeah!" Jackson, another one of Dimitri's friends, yelled to me.

"Did you know that 69% of people have dirty minds?" asked a boy.

And everyone burst out laughing except me.

I didn't get it.

"Oh my god dude!" Luke hit Dimitri seriously, "She doesn't get the joke!"

Dimitri's eyes widened, then he smiled as he whispered what it meant in my ear.

I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Your so messed up!" I screeched.

And the laughing began.

Ah. I think this will be fun.
