This is my very first story so be nice! ^^

Laura had trouble opening her eyes, since it was really bright outside and someone forgot to draw the curtains. She turned around to face a sleepy Ross. Her 2-years-husband. They were 26 now, got married 2 years ago and they couldn't be happier about their lives. There was just something missing in their marriage.

"Ross" Laura whispered on his ear and shook him a little "Come on, honey, you have a rehearsal"

Ross mumbled something and turned around. Laura rolled her eyes. He was such a kid. She shook him gently for a while until Ross grabbed her waist and pulled her on top of him, still with his eyes closed.

"You won't wake up, will you?" Laura giggled

"Nope" he opened one eye "Not gonna happen"

"But you're doing it"

"Damn" Ross said and Laura laughed. He smiled and kissed her forehead softly "Good morning, by the way"

"Good morning, Ross" she kissed his nose and then she sat down on his hips "You gotta go to the R5 rehearsal, you know"

"They can do it without me" Ross yawned.

"No they can't" Laura said "Plus, Rydel texted me saying that Riker can't make it today; Diana isn't feeling too well"

Diana was Riker's wife. They got married 4 years ago and now, she was pregnant with their first kid.

"Okay" Ross finally accepted. He picked Laura up and headed downstairs, both of her legs tied around his waist.

"You're gonna fall down and you will kill us both" Laura said and Ross laughed.

"I highly doubt it" he smirked "I'd never let you die"

"Aww Ross" she crashed her lips onto his, and they started making out in the middle of the hallway. Ross squeezed Laura's butt and she moaned a little, running her fingers through his soft, messy hair.

Eventually, Laura pulled away "Okay you need to have breakfast, get ready and go"

He put her down on the floor and walked towards the kitchen.

"Way to ruin the fun, Marano" he said while pouring some milk on his pink bowl.

Laura rolled her eyes "We can have some fun when you get back"

Ross turned around and smirked mischievously at her "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He winked.

"Don't get your hopes up" Laura tried to look serious but Ross' smile wasn't helping at all.

They sat down on the kitchen table and had breakfast in silence. Ross' phone buzzed just when he was about to leave the kitchen. "It's a text" he said "Riker says he's taking Diana to the hospital"

"Really?" Laura stood up, a worried expression on her face, and grabbed Ross's arm as she read the text "Did her water broke?"

"I'm gonna ask him" he said and typed the exact words.

A minute later he replied "Yes."

Ross looked at Laura, she was biting her bottom lip. She always did that when she was nervous, but he didn't understand why she was doing that now because she wasn't the one who was having a baby.

"I think you should call the others and cancel the rehearsal" she said with a worried voice tone "It's not the best time to do it"

"You're right" Ross nodded in agreement "I'll call Rocky first" he said and dialed his number.

"Maybe you should call your parents too", Laura crossed her arms, pressing her robe against her body "They'd want to go to the hospital"

Ross made a few calls to his siblings and his parents, and they agreed to go to the hospital later; they didn't want to bother them now. When Ross finished, he went upstairs to find Laura on their bed watching TV.

"Hey" he sat down next to her on the bed and kissed her forehead "Are you okay?"

"Um" she turned her head to face him "Yeah, why don't you think so?"

"I never said that, I was just asking" Ross, being the sweet husband he was, smiled and rubbed her cheek softly "You seem upset, that's it"

"Well I'm okay" she said, paying attention again to the tv program she was watching.

"Laura, I've known you for 11 years" Ross said "Don't even try to deny that you're not okay"

They stood there in silence until Laura decided to speak in a low voice "I just want a baby"

Ross froze. They had talked about that subject before, but he never thought Laura wanted to have children so bad...and so soon.

'Okay it isn't soon' Ross thought '26 is a good age' Ross realized they were standing in some kind of awkward silence so he decided to speak up.

"Why didn't you tell me before, Laur?" He asked her, playing with her perfect curls. They knew it relaxed her, and that's what she needed at that moment.

"I was afraid you'd say no" she was now looking at her hands, playing with the sheets "I didn't want to stress you out; you're busy with R5 concerts and I'm busy doing photoshoots and working on this show and-"

Ross cut her off by pressing his lips against hers, and kissing her roughly. Sometimes she just worried too much. She threw her arms around his neck and pulled herself closer to him, pressing his body against his. Feeling him. Ross lay Laura in the bed and put himself on top of her, drawing circles on her back as she played with his hair. At some point, Ross started taking off Laura's tank top.

"Slow down tiger" she smirked "I need to take a shower and go to Dove's house"

"Aw" Ross pouted "Why?"

"Because we want to hang out duh" Laura said and pushed Ross away. He was now laying on his back.

"We'll finish that later" he winked "And maybe we can make that baby you want"

"I want to talk about it first" she said, taking some clean clothes from the closet.

"Okay let's talk about it now" he sat up and stared at her. He couldn't help but smile at her actions.

"I think we should talk about it seriously" Laura opened the bathroom's door "It's a baby, not a toy"

She closed the door and some minutes later, Ross heard the water running. Was he ready to be a dad? He's never been sure about the answer. He liked kids and he was good with them, yes. But having a baby is a lot of responsibility and you have to take care of her or him 24/7. It's not like he didn't want to, but Laura and him were both too busy at that moment of their lives.

In the other hand, he's always wanted to teach someone how to play hockey, how to dance, how to play the guitar... He loved Laura so much, and having a baby with her was a way to demonstrate it. To be parents must be hard, yes, but it's worthy as well.

By the time Laura went out of the shower, he was already dressed and waiting for her on the living room.

"What are you going to do after you drop me at Dove's?" She sat down on his lap.

"I'll go to Rydel's and I don't know" he smiled "Gossip"

Laura laughed "About what?"

"I don't know, Rydel always knows the juiciest things so who knows"

Laura hugged him and he hugged back, squeezing her and kissing her neck "You're so hot" he whispered.

"Oh no" Laura smiled and pushed him away "Don't entertain me, I don't wanna be late"

Ross smiled and planted a soft kiss on her lips "Lets go, then"

Ross grabbed the car's keys and they drove away. He couldn't help but think about the baby thing all the way to Dove's house. Was he ready enough?

What did you guys think? (:
