I couldn't help but feel light headed as we walked up to Derek's home. This place that held so many memories for me now seemed tainted with a twinge of pain as well as fear. I couldn't propel myself forward anymore I felt like I was glued to the ground on Derek's lawn thinking how could they do this to me? Where was I really from? Did my real family not want me....each question making me feel more and more upset as a soft voice pulled me out of my daydream. "Daniella...?" looking up to see Anthony's steel blue eyes coated in concern with Cole behind him sharing the same look. "Yeah Tone?" "I've been trying to get your attention for a couple minutes now mia amore...you alright?" "We don't have to do this now if you're not ready D" Cole said all the anger he had moments again seemed to be fading away. "No...I need to know, but follow my lead ok? I want to see if they will come clean first before I show them the evidence." "Sure sure D you know I always have your back." Cole replied softly as Anthony took my hand and we all walked towards the front door. Jason, Blake and Heidi flanking behind us as the door opened to reveal Derek who for some reason lost all his appeal to me now looking more like sibling than a love interest. "Dani..."he breathed out looking at me strangely which caused not only a growl from Anthony, but it echoed behind me realizing that Blake and Jason had growled also. "Whoa guys I mean no harm...come in" Derek said with his arms up in surrender moving aside so we could walk in. "They're in my office Dani you want to let me know what's going on?" he said with a calm tone, but was obviously annoyed he was the last to know and what it had to do with all of our parents. I simply sighed nodding to Cole who opened his mind link with Derek steaming his memories through. When I saw both of their eyes come back into focus I saw a range of emotions on Derek's face from confusion at first to frustration then straight fury. "This is impossible...they couldn't they wouldn't" he finally spoke. "I'm not sure about anything anymore Derek, but like I said to Cole let me take the lead on this ok? For once do this for me?" I kept my head low as I talked feeling Anthony's hand on the small of my back rubbing gently as he turned over his shoulder to the others telling them to go wait in the living room while we went into the office. Cole and Derek walked in first giving me time to collect my breathing before entering I felt my chin being lifted to meet Anthony's strong glaze "No matter what they say in there Daniella I want you to remember this. You listening?" I nodded in return looking for him to continue. "Remember you are always wanted with me and with our pack no matter what your past holds. Remember that I love you bella..." he spoke softly maintaining eye contact the whole time leaning down to place a soft sweet kiss on my lips before I responded "Thank you Tone....I love you too...so much". He smiled at me before leading me into the office that held so many memories yet felt like I was walking into cell.
Everything felt different now. Felt cold and disconnected even a little bit staged as my parents both stood up to give me a a tight hug my body instantly tensed with their touch. They both sensed my response as they pulled away my father being the first to speak my mother just looking hurt. "What's this about Princess?" I flinched hearing the pet name he gave me all those years ago and noticed that not only did Anthony tense, but Cole and Derek were both clenching their fist in anger now. "I think you all should sit down I actually have some questions that need answers" I spoke in a monotone voice trying to not give into the emotions plaguing my body right now. "You can ask us anything honey" my mother responded cautiously seeing the men around me's tension. "Was I always a Blue Moon Pack member?" I spoke softly waiting for my world to crash around me with their words, but instead there was another stab right through my heart. "What are you talking about Princess? Of course you have been you're our child" my father spoke without even showing reasoning to give doubt, but this made my eyes snap to his with such ferocity that he recoiled a bit. "Is that so! You want to rethink that answer?!" I shouted at him without caring that there were tears threatening to fall. "Now listen here Daniella you may be a luna now, but I won't have you talking like that." Derek's father said trying to intervene which caused a flare of anger in Derek who was behind his desk. "With all due respect Father, but you are no longer the Alpha of this pack" Derek spat in response causing all of our parents to gasp, but remain silent. He then turned to me nodding for me to continue. I took a deep breath in as Anthony squeezed my hand in reassurance saying "I'll ask you one more time....was I always a Blue Moon Pack member?" "Where is this all coming from Daniella? You are our daughter!" my mother yelled out at this point, but there was something in her voice that wasn't strong. "Your daughter?! Then tell me mother why is it then that my mates mark on his skin...my mark....looks like this?!" I spoke with an edge loosing my control as a turned to Anthony who was already taking off his shirt turning to the adults that I once looked up to. There was a collective gasp from all our parents, but there was an underlying feeling that Cole, Derek and I all felt. They knew! All of them knew! "Tell me how long you were going to not tell me! Tell me how long you were going to make me believe that I was your own flesh and blood without giving me even the curtesy of knowing that I don't belong to you?!" I spoke now with venom in my words not caring who I was hurting. "And all of you now pointing at Cole's and Derek's parents you're as bad as them!" I yelled now coming unhinged. "We wanted to tell you on your 15th birthday when you came of age, but when we saw your wolf we knew it wasn't safe for you to know..." my mother spoke softly the hurt in her eyes palpable tears falling with each word she spoke. "Tell her Aiden she deserves to know what we should have already told her." she said looking up at my father who looked pained himself.
