Silence then fire

       I woke up feeling tired yet strangely strong and refreshed as well as feeling something that I had never experienced before....quiet so much quiet in my own head. If I had known any better I would have thought my wall was up, but I could sense it wasn't. Panic was the first thing that coursed through my veins so I tried and failed multiple times contacting Cole it was then that I started breathing really heavy and quick not able to control the emotions running through me. Anthony burst through the door of his bedroom finding me sitting up in bed the tears streaming down in a full blown panic act. "Breath mia amore breath...slow breaths" he spoke softly cupping my face his touch alone helping my system calm. Between ragged breaths I finally was able to say "Tone I can't hear them! Is my pack ok?!". At this is worried face smoothed over giving me a small smile which strangely made me feel a bit enraged why was he smiling?! This was serious! I could feel my brows furrowing with these thoughts and then glaring at him as he seemed to be chuckling at my expression. "Relax bella you can't hear them because technically you aren't part of their pack anymore". My face fell at this "What did Derek..." "No Dani he didn't do anything in fact I just was talking to Cole yesterday. You can't hear them anymore because I marked you as my mate. We just have to do the welcoming ceremony tonight under the full moon then you will be an official Bloodmoon Pack member as well as their Luna" he spoke softly, but with pride. That actually made perfect sense. I didn't even think of that and simply went straight to panic mode...wait did he say yesterday? "Umm Tone...?" "hm?""You said yesterday....you were in meetings all day yesterday when did you talk to Cole?" I stated trying to make this make sense. "That wasn't yesterday mia amore...you've been out for two days. The mark tends to take a lot out of you and since I'm an alpha even more so." My jaw dropped at his statement two days? Holy shit! It was then that I realized that I had yet to see my mark! I pushed a startled looking Anthony out of the way before shifting his oversized t-shirt which he must have dressed me in which the thought made me blush a bit before running into the bathroom in front of the mirror. I turned my body so I could see the beautifully intricate tattoo that was now on my skin. I gasped seeing it for the first time and was lost for words it was two wolves with their heads touching in front of a blood moon rising. As I stared Anthony had walked in kissing the mark gently "It's beautiful isn't it? It just finished forming on your skin last night." I looked up at him reaching up on my tip toes placing a soft kiss on his lips before he looked down at me again. "You should take a shower mia amore. It's actually pretty late in the day and we have to get you ready. I had Heidi go into town and get you a dress for tonight since you have to wear all white." This kind of panicked me a bit. All packs have different welcoming ceremonies as well as different traditions for it, but I have never seen one that involved a Luna taking over also. "Ok" was all I could muster trying to hide my anxiety looking down at the white tile. "Don't worry baby we do very simple things here it's more an excuse for the pack to meet you. Not to worry." he said calmly pulling chin up so we made eye contact before kissing my forehead and leaving me to get ready. 

     I took the longest shower of my life making sure every inch of me was spotless before stepping out. I knew that the ceremony would start as soon as the moon rose which was only in a couple hours at this point and I still had plenty to do. I was hoping the shower would calm my nerves, but it really didn't. I wrapped myself in a towel walking out into the bedroom to see a beautiful halter top floor length white dress which reminded me of something that a roman queen would wear. It was simply breath taking I do have to say Heidi had good taste. As I continued to inspect the gown the door opened behind me thinking it was Anthony I turned to face him, but it was Heidi instead. "I hope you like the dress I picked out for you Luna. Alpha was very specific on what style he wanted for you". "This is absolutely gorgeous Heidi I wouldn't have picked a better one" I replied with a grin on my face which caused one to form on hers. "Perfect! I've come to help you get ready!" she spoke with new excitement. Heidi was simply adorable and I knew from asking for her help getting ready for Anthony's surprise that she was only 16, but I knew from our limited interactions that she was probably going to be a really close friend for me. "That would be great" I said before motioning her back towards the bathroom me slipping a robe over the towel letting it drop under it after it was secured. She dried my hair for me then began doing a braid pattern around the crown of my head the rest of my hair falling in soft curls. We then moved on to my make up which we did light and natural. When she was done I was shocked. I looked beautiful I didn't actually recognize myself "Thank you Heidi" I breathed out still surprised. "Anything for you Luna" she replied. "Call me Dani please" "Right Dani" she giggled with her response. "Alright now you stop staring at yourself! Get dressed!" At this she moved out of the room most likely to get herself ready since things were starting in less than an hour. I slipped on my dress avoiding damaging any of her work, but was taken back by the softness of the fabric that now wrapped my body. The dress had a deep plunging back with only the loose fabric from the tie of the halter gracefully falling down the middle of my back. I had just finished when there was a soft knock at the door which I opened to reveal Sean standing there looking rather handsome in his black slacks and white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. "Luna you look breath taking" he spoke with the smirk on his face that I have come to know. "You don't look to bad yourself, but I figured you'd be wearing a dress too since I make you feel like less of a man every training session" I said smartly with my own smirk on my face. "Ouch you wound me." he said chuckling before offering me his arm as we walked out towards the ceremony space. "Ready for this?" I nodded nervously in response. We walked the rest of the way in silence, but it wasn't until we reached the clearing when I saw almost 200 people that I began to shake a bit gripping on his arm. "Hey hey Dani look at me. You'll be fine it's no big thing I promise. I'll be the first one to welcome you as our Luna via the mind link" he spoke with a low calm voice while he winked at me. We walked over to the side of the stage like platform behind some curtains where Sean told me I was to wait and that he would see me after. Within a couple minutes I heard Anthony giving a short speech then calling me on stage. We were born to be a Luna Dani just breath Alexa spoke with a proud voice. I subconsciously nodded to her in response before breathing out and walking up to face my mate. 

    "Do you Daniella Conway vow to protect and serve the Bloodmoon Pack to the best of your abilities? Do you pledge your loyalty to our rules, values and your new alpha? Do you accept your role as Luna of the Bloodmoon Pack including guiding those who seek your council?" Anthony spoke with such authority that the words themselves washed over me like they were tangible. "I do""Give me your right arm" I lifted my arm placing it in his palm as he took a knife making a small slice in it right above my wrist then the same to his own before joining our arms together saying "What is bonded in blood will be unbreakable". As he spoke those words I felt my brain being flooded with voices so many voices, but I focused on the voice of the man in front of me the others quieted to the back of my brain as he said "Welcome to the Bloodmoon Pack Luna Daniella". The crowd of people broke into applause and just as promised a single voice rang in my head "Welcome Luna" I turned to see Sean on the end of the platform with a smile on his face. 

      The rest of the night went by in a blur, but the nicest thing was how much my mate was glowing with pride. It was just passed midnight when we finally said good night to everyone a slipped into our room. Anthony captured my lips in a passion filled kiss before he broke away saying "you were amazing tonight baby they simply loved you and you showed the grace of a true luna." His praise made me blush, but couldn't stop to yawn from coming from my lips. He chuckled as me before handing me a shirt to sleep in while getting undressed himself. We both slipped into bed with the last thing I remember being him kissing my forehead gently. 

   Screaming rang through my ears. I looked left and right trying to find Anthony without any luck. There was nothing but shear terror around me and I felt myself being thrown into a strange   building that I didn't recognize as a part of the pack compound. I pounded on the door trying to break free without any luck searching for an escape where there was none I realized that it was beginning to get really warm inside the building. Then I noticed the smoke before long the walls were a blaze and I was screaming for help, but none was coming I felt my body beginning to shake with fear. Then I realized that no my body was really being shaken then I heard Anthony's voice calling for me "DANI WAKE UP!!! DANI PLEASE WAKE UP!" It was then I realized that the fire wasn't just around me it felt like I was on fire to the point of boiling from the inside out. My eyes shot open and made eye contact with him who looked relieved at first then to only notice his eyes starting to turn black and he let go of his grip me jumping out of bed away from me causing me to whimper. Without a word he ran out of the room to return only minutes later with a very tired looking Heidi who also looked really confused. I was starting to sweat and courses of pain were moving through my body, but the worst was the intense overwhelming temperature that I felt my body was at. "Oh god she's in heat" I heard escape her lips before another wave of pain and fire coursed through my body causing me to moan in discomfort. I heard Anthony growl from the other side of the room before Heidi broke in again "We need to cool her down alpha....ALPHA!" "WHAT!!" he screamed back trying to hold his wolf at bay, but his voice alone made me moan with pleasure and squirm. "Go alpha! Get me ice! Multiple bags I'll get her into the tub" she spoke  firmly walking over to me lifting me up off the bed carrying most of my weight as we went into the bathroom and she helped me step into the tub before turning the water on ice cold. Anthony returned quickly pouring ice into the half filled tub then looking into my eyes grabbing my hand as I felt relief from his touch and the coldness of the water. "Alpha are you sure you can handle yourself" Heidi spoke with apprehension earning another growl. I saw him close his eyes shut tight breathing deeply through his mouth before they returned to the steel blue color I love. "Yes Heidi...I think I can handle it now" he spoke softly. "Ok let me know if you need anymore help. Keep her in the ice water it will give her the most relief beside well..." she spoke blushing seeing her way out of the bathroom. "Tone..." I whispered mixed with a moan. "Yes mia amore what do you need" he spoke brushing my hair out of my face his touch driving me crazy yet helping curb the pain. "Thank you....I know this is difficult I'm just not ready yet". "I know bella I know".
