[Chapter Thirteen]

Today is the first day that I officially serve my 'sentence'. Principal James called my number yesterday, how he got it? Hell, I don't even know how he managed to get my cellphone number. But he did and he added three more days to my suspension for leaving the school grounds without permission, skipping, basically. They found out that Peter was cutting classes as well so they suspended him for only two days. I felt bad that I was the reason why Peter got suspended, but he said that he really didn't care.

Now, I'm lying on my bed, staring blankly at the white ceiling above me. My IPod was plugged into the small stereo system I had brought from my dad's house. The music was on shuffle, but the song that was playing was 'Still Dre' by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Since my music taste wanders in different genres of music, my playlist is mixed. One minute, Whitney Housten or Michael Jackson could be playing then it suddenly changes to AC DC or Ice Cube.

The only reason why Peter isn't here with me is because his mom has him on lockdown at his house. I would say "Just sneak out," but Peter's bedroom is on the second floor so I don't think that's such a great idea. I've been thinking a lot about Peter, about him and I. We're simply fuck buddies, nothing more than that. But I'm beginning to think that Peter sees the two of us as more than just 'friends with benefits'... and that worries me.

Peter isn't the only person my mind has kept wandering to. Hayley, I can't stop thinking about her either. It still angers me that she doesn't remember who I am, it also hurts me that she's forgotten. But anger isn't the only emotion I seem to be holding towards the redhead. Like the time I first saw her at the high school, I still think she's one of the prettiest girls I've ever met. I used to think that when we were little kids as well, that Hayley was extremely pretty. It's not like I held any feelings for her when I was a little girl. What four year old does? It's funny, she's forgotten me completely, but I still remember the first time we met as if it had happened just yesterday.

"Lydia, Diana! Come down here," my mother called out from downstairs. I set my dolls down on the floor and quickly ran out of my bedroom and down the staircase. Once I reached the bottom, I noticed a group of people sitting on the living room couch, three out of the four being females.

I glanced over at my mother, her pink lips smiling down at me. A few seconds later, Diana came walking down the stairs. Like my mother's hair, Diana's dark hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail. Her blue eyes scanned the strangers, curiosity sparking in them. "John isn't here right now. He's working at the garage," my mother explained.

"Oh, that's perfectly fine. Are these both your daughters?" The unfamiliar woman asked. She had a blonde pixie cut, green eyes and a kind smile. She looked friendly.

My mother nodded in response. "This is Diana, she's nine," she motioned to Diana who awkwardly waved at the family. "and this is Lydia, she's four." I smiled widely at the family, waving my hand eagerly at them. I've always been a bit more outgoing than Diana. She keeps to herself more than I do. But a lot of times, my outgoing personality and big mouth is what gets me in trouble.

The woman smiled kindly at the two of us. "Nice to meet you two. My name's Rachel, and these are my daughters Erica and Hayley." My eyes flickered to the two girls sitting beside the woman on the couch. The older girl, Erica, had blonde shoulder length hair and forest green eyes. She had her hands folded over her lap and a shy smile on her mouth. Much like Diana, she seemed more reserved.

The younger girl, Hayley, had long ginger hair, emerald green eyes and seemed more energetic than her sister, much like me. Also, like her sister and mom, the girl had a friendly aura surrounding her.
