Lydia-

I sat on the floor of the living room, laughing loudly as I watched Smokey run down the street in nothing but underwear on the television screen. Bringing one end of the half finished joint, I inhaled the smoke. I sighed in pure satisfaction, watching in entertainment as the smoke slowly lingered the air around me.

Suddenly, a loud knock came from the front door. I stood up from the floor, letting the joint dangle from my lips as I walked towards the entrance. I pulled the door open, grinning widely once I saw Peter standing in the hallway. He was dressed in a white v-neck, black leather jacket, black jeans and a grey fedora. "Hey," I grinned widely. "You look hot." I chuckled, stepping aside to let him in.

Peter laughed and walked into the living room. "Most girls would be getting ready right now, but not you. You're in your underwear watching Friday and getting high." He smirked and sat down on the edge of the couch.

"Like the white trash I am." I snorted, leaning against the frame of the hallway.

"You're still going, aren't you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

I nodded and handed him the joint. "Of course, I am." I said. "I'm just preparing myself for the night." Peter nodded in understanding and focused his attention to the television screen. "Not that I don't enjoy your company or anything, but what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Uh," Peter scratched the back of his neck, nervously. "Actually, I came here to see if you want yo be my date for the dance. We don't have to go as an actual date. We can just go as friends." He quickly explained.

"Sure." I shrugged, grinning widely. "Let me just go get ready then we can leave." He nodded and I walked down the hallway, leaving him to watch Friday and get high by himself.

Entering the bathroom, I closed and locked the door behind me. Wasting absolutely no time, I quickly peeled off my underwear and turned the shower on. I stepped inside, quickly washing my body and hair. I lathered on another layer of shampoo as I quickly shaved the stubble off my legs before I stepped out of the shower. Turning off the water, I dried myself off with a towel and rolled on some deodorant.

"Peter, you better not come over here!" I shouted as I opened the bathroom door, a blue towel tightly wrapped around my freshly washed body.

Peter laughed loudly from the living room. "Don't worry, I probably won't. But it's nothing I haven't seen before." He retorted. I rolled my eyes, laughing quietly before I ran across the hallway and into my bedroom. I closed the door behind me, making sure it was locked before I let the towel drop to the ground.

Despite my small hatred for the store, I went to Hot Topic three days ago and luckily found the perfect dress for the dance. As result of the past three dances I've attended, I knew that most of the girls were going to wear either light blue dresses, yellow or pink. That's exactly why I chose a simple black dress with long sleeves that reaches a few inches above my knee.

I honestly don't like attention, but I'd rather not blend in with everyone else so I'll take the stares and questioning looks instead of showing up and seeing seven other people wearing the exact same thing.

After I changed into fresh underwear the dress, I slipped on my combat boots and walked towards the vanity. I dried my hair with a blow drier. I clipped my grown out bangs back with a black bobby pin and did dark eyeliner with mascara for my eyes. Applying a layer of foundation, I applied flash lashes before I was done with the make up. Spraying on perfume, I shoved a handful of things into my black clutch before I finally decided that I was ready.
