~Budo's P.O.V~
When I awoke, I noticed I was in a hospital room. A nurse was checking things off a checklist. "Am I in the hospital?" "Oh, you're awake. And, yes, you're in the hospital."
Memories of the previous day filled my mind. "Where's (y/n)!?" "Oh, she's fine." I sighed in relief. "In fact, she asked that I have you text her, when you woke up. She seemed to be very worried about you." "Oh, then, can I have my phone, please?" "Oh, of course, here you go." The nurse then handed me my phone. "Thanks." I then sent a text to (y/n), letting her know that I was fine. And, that she could visit me, if she was available.
~(y/n)'s P.O.V~
I've been a mess, since Budo was taken to the hospital. Nothing seemed to bring me out of my depressed state. Not even the (Favorite dessert) that my mom (Bought/Made) for me. Soon, they understood that I needed my space, and, just left me alone. I would just cry into my pillow, and, wait for Budo to text me. Pretty depressing, right?
While crying, I received a text message. My eyes lit up, as I checked my phone. Hopefully, it was Budo, not advertisements. A few times I got those, and was totally crushed, when it wasn't Budo.
But, this time, it was Budo. His message said that he was just fine, a bit sore, but, fine. He also said that it'd be fine, if I came to visit him. Excited, I got myself all prettied up. I actually got out of my pajamas, brushed my hair out, brushed my teeth, and, did everything else I needed to do. I raced down the stairs. My dad looked at me, in surprise. "Well, look at you. You feeling any better?" "I'll explain on the way. Can you please drive me to the hospital?" "Of course, I can. Did Budo-" "LET'S GO!" I said, while literally dragging my dad into the car. My dad laughed. "Alright, I'm coming! I'm coming!"
We're now on the way, to visit Budo. "I'm glad you're feeling better, (y/n). Your mother and I were really starting to get worried for you." "Glad to hear." "Now, do you want me to come in with-" "NO!" My dad chuckled. "Of course, don't want your lame dad to screw things up, right?" "Maybe..." My dad chuckled once more. "It's fine, I can understand."
Finally, we arrived. Sadly, the hospital's thirty minutes away from my house. But, we're finally here. "When should I pick you up?" "I'll call you." "Okay, love you-" My dad didn't get to finish his sentence, since I was already out the car, and, rushing inside. Sorry, dad, but, I have to check in on Budo.
After getting inside, I asked for directions. A doctor happily helped me get to Budo's room. I took a deep breath, before knocking on the door. "Hey, Budo, it's me, (y/n)." "Come on in." I took another deep breath, before entering.
There was Budo, on a hospital bed. For being in the hospital, he didn't look too bad. "Hey there, champ. How are you feeling?" "I'm not feeling too bad. It must be because of the pain medicine the nurse just gave me." Oh, of course, I should've figured that they'd give him pain medicine. Man, I'm such an idiot!
"That's good to hear." "Yeah." There was an awkward silence between the two of us. "The nurse said that all I'm going to have is a bruise on my back. Apparently, Ayano didn't hit anything major." "That's a relief." "Yeah, it sure it. This means I won't have to give up martial arts. I'm so relieved." "I'm sure you are."
"So, when do you think you'll be able to come back to school?" "Based on my condition, one to one and a half weeks. I can't wait to come back." "How about the martial arts club has a party for you, when you come back?" "You don't have to-" "Yes! We do! No complains, we're doing this!" Budo chuckled, making me blush. Did I say something silly? "It seems like when you're determined, nothing's going to stop you. It's cute." My blush deepened. Did Budo just call me cute?
"So, anything you want at your party?" I asked, trying to pretend like my crush didn't just call me cute. "Just a simple party. Don't overdo it. Balloons, and a cake should be fine." I took out my phone, and started putting this down in my notes section. "What color? What kind?" Budo looked at me, in confusion. "Wow, you really want this to be perfect, don't you?" "Of course, I do!" "Then, in that case, white and black balloons. And, for the cake, make it Oreo." "White and black, Oreo, got it!" I said, before putting my phone away.
"Budo, I must say thank you. Thank you, for saving me." "It was nothing-" "No! It was not just nothing! You saved my life! For that, I'm forever in your debt!" Budo stopped. "I see. Well, if you really want to make it up to me, talk with me, as if it was any other day. Don't treat me like I'm in a hospital." This time, it was my turn to stop. Then, I smiled. "Of course, Budo."
Budo and I then talked, and talked, and talked. We talked for hours. We had such a fun time, at some points, laughing our heads off. Though, too soon, visiting hours ended, and, I had to leave. "Mind if I come over, tomorrow?" "Of course, but, don't you have school?" "I'll just come over, after school." "Okay, see you then." "See you!" I then left, and, was driven home by my mom. "How did it go?" "It was just fine. Do you think you could drive me here, tomorrow?" "Of course, my love-struck daughter." "MOM!"
