Finn

"What the hell, Nick? We're on the same team." I yelped to him while I was smashing the buttons of my video game controller. "Finn, shut up. You're making us lose!" he whined. We were playing Overwatch and Nick kept distracting me by turning against me in the game purposely and dumbfoundedly. So, of course I'm making us lose.

We were sitting on our dusty couch in the basement and my phone resting beside the coffee table started to ring out of nowhere. I paused the game and Nick shouted, "Finn! What are you doing? You are such an idiot." I just ignored him and started rubbing my eyes, clearing my vision to walk towards the table where my phone was at. It was repeatedly playing the ringtone over and over again.

Why is this person calling me multiple times? Especially at night? I accessed my smartphone and swiped down to glance at the notifications. The calls were from Caleb. Oh God. I don't know if I should call back. It might be an emergency but it will cause controversy with Noah, Gaten, and Sadie because they seem to be annoyed by Caleb. I still don't know why though. Besides the point, I'm uncertain about whether I should call back or not.

"Finn, what's taking so long? You're like the slowest human being in this entire universe. Quit attaching your overall attention to your phone and start playing with me?" waiting impatiently, Nick decided to press play, resuming the game like the jerk he is, forcing me to drop my phone out of my hands and keep playing with him. I heard my phone buzzing on the floorboards but I chose to ignore it because of the drama king. Sorry Caleb.

Millie

I'm currently holding ten bags filled with clothes, food, and other random stuff I clearly don't need but I bought it anyway. As my mom and I were about to exit the mall because we already did our business here, I couldn't help but notice a familiar sign hung on a pitch black store. There were dim lights around the store but it was pretty dark. On top of the sign, there were graphitti like letters placed messily very high up. They were white bold letters that read, "Hot Topic." The sign just below it read, "Things just got stranger with the Stranger Things merchandise!"

Although the joke was pretty cliché, I smiled but gradually frowned knowing I'm not in the show anymore. My mom saw right through me and began to walk forward as I followed her with my head hanging lower than the deepest valley you can think of. I was tearing up in the car. Did I even make the right choice to come back here to London? I interrogate myself with this question from time to time and yet I still don't know the answer.

As soon as I arrived home, I was planning to lay down on my bed and cry constantly on my fluffy pillow until I noticed my phone erupting with a million notifications. I scurried over to release my phone from the tangled cord of my charger and I accessed my phone with a heavy heart. It's the old group chat. Again. I leaned back to see what's up by reading every single word of each message but now that I've realized the duration of this dilemma with Caleb or whatever, it has lasted for a very long time.

I decided it's best to call them. At first, I called Noah, but he didn't pick up. I'm sure Sadie will answer because she's always on her phone. I thought wrong. I fixed my eyes to see who else I could call and miraculously with one touch of a finger, Gaten accepted my call. "Gaten! What happened? Is everything alright?" I began to hear muffled sounds in the background. Noah and Sadie? Are they crying? "Noah! Sadie," I literally screamed on the top of my lungs, "I called you guys! You wouldn't pick up!" After a repeated amount of sobs and sniffles, Gaten with his croaky voice said, "Sorry." The call ended.

I cried so hard that my eyes turned into a bloody red. I went through my contacts to see who I could call and I read one person's name from my contacts. Finn. After wiping my eyes until my vision cleared, I hesitantly called Finn, fixing my voice as well. I don't want him to suspect I was crying for hours.

Finn

After winning five games in a row, Nick still wouldn't give up. I grew tired of his stupidity and how he's always determined to be competitive towards me. Every. Single. Time. "Nick," I said, trying to sound polite so I can go, "let's take a break." Giving me a side smirk, he replied, "Wow. And you call me weak. One more, Finn." Feeling irritated, I was about to scream 'No!' to his face, but I suddenly heard my phone buzzing, still on the floor.

Confused and dazed, I paused the game and I lazily picked it up while Nick gave me the death stare. Kind of like the one Eleven makes. I brushed the messy hair out of my face to see who it was. Am I reading this right? Millie is calling me? What a weird night. First Caleb, and than Millie? Realizing the pile of guilt building up on me for not answering Caleb, I decided to answer the call. Also so I can avoid Nick's orders. Nervously, I accepted the call and I said, "Millie?" Oh God. Did I stutter? Did she hear me? Why am I overthinking this?

"Finn! Oh my goodness. Thank you for picking up," she replied and practically yelled in her adorable British accent. "Yeah! Of course. What's up, Mills? I mean Millie." Shit. I haven't said her nickname in a long time. It felt unnatural to me. Sounding surprised, Millie replied, "Mills? Haven't heard that in a while. I see what game you're trying to play. Well, Finnie Boy, it's about Caleb."

I choked out of laughter. She did her cute little laugh too. Oh Mills. I'm officially done playing with games for tonight. Especially video games.  I soon realized if she wants to talk about Caleb's problem I don't necessarily know about, I have to act serious. I stopped laughing and I said, "Right. Let's resolve this conflict once and for all. Whatever it may be." I honestly have no clue what this situation is about. But, I'm willing to chat about this with Millie. Anything for my friends. Anything for her.
