Millie
"Are you ready for the annual school dance?" my mom asked excitedly. I replied, "Yes. Of course." She stared at me like I was about to get married as I saw her tear up. It was just a school dance. Nothing more. I rolled my eyes and headed out the door to enter the vehicle in which my mom chose to drive. She's very indecisive today. Maybe because she's afraid to embarrass me if she picks out an inexpensive looking car. But, I really don't care. I mean, I may be a celebrity and all but I don't mind the criticism.

I stared at the window as the car started to move, pondering how everyone was doing, filming for Stranger Things, season three in California. Most of the cast lives there now. The only people who aren't there at Los Angeles filming is obviously Charlie, Natalia, and I. They are traveling abroad together to celebrate their two year anniversary. Basically, they are taking a little break from acting to hang out with each other more. Cute couple. But, It's been a while since I've seen everyone.

I wanted to stay there and keep on acting as my character, Eleven, but several agents have asked me to star in many T.V. shows and movies all at once. I became super overwhelmed and I had to say goodbye to the Duffer Brothers, along with everyone I've met who became my dearest friends. Most of the T.V. shows and movies that had to be filmed were in London, so I had to fly back to make it less troublesome for my family and I.

"We're almost here, honey," my mother said sweetly. "Now, don't get too wild at those dances. Have fun. But, not too much, okay?" she slightly shouted out which meant she was extremely worried about me. I responded, "Mom, don't worry. I'll be okay." She smiled and gave me a slight nod. She didn't believe me. I could tell. But, I knew she was elated for me. We arrived there and I opened the door hesitantly but feeling pretty good.

I walked towards the grand entrance. It was absolutely beautiful. The magnificent decorations really stood out to me. I pulled the door so I could enter and saw numerous people there. I recognized a lot of classmates and I waved to them. I'm not friends with any of them because their first words would always be, 'Oh my gosh.. You're Millie Bobby Brown!' or 'I know you from somewhere! Aren't you that boy on that Netflix show?' I ignore their comments sometimes, especially if what they say is definitely false about me. I just wish that sometimes people would treat me as a normal person, so I won't be as lonely and I'll be able to talk to people just like any other school girl would.

I noticed my sparkly periwinkle blue dress, glistening whenever the disco ball's lights would hit me. My hair grew quite a bit long now, compared to last year. Although I cut it for the school dance, my hair is about five inches less than a bob cut, so I guess it's still pretty short. My pixie cut is nicely curled for this special occasion. Going to the table, I poured some red punch in my cup and chugged it down immediately. It was savory. Trust me. I don't lie. Some upbeat music began to play, so I danced, or what you would call flailing your arms up in the air rapidly like a total freak, and began to feel exhausted. I beamed though because this is literally the most free time I've had in a while.

I heard a familiar, but faint noise once the previous song ended.  It was the strumming of a guitar. I can tell it is some eighty's music. I was far away from the dance floor because I had to distance myself from being too tired. Curiousity overtook me and I decided to drag my feet to the enormous music speakers. It took me a while, but I started to remember what the song was.

~flashback~ (third person POV)
"Take thirteen. Remember, Charlie and Noah. You have to feel the song. The expressions on your face really make a difference. Action!" Matt Duffer exclaims. The song, "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" starts to play. While Charlie and Noah were nodding their head in a repeated motion throughout the duration of the song, Finn Caleb, and Millie grooved to the beat as well off camera.

They all just stared at each other with bright eyes and wide smiles. Finn giggled lightly. Caleb said, "Hey Millie. I bet I can beat you in a dance off. Absolutely astounded, Millie replied, "A dance off? Ha! I would lose in an instant." Finn teasingly said, " Wow. You're so scared aren't you? Come on, Mills. It will be fun! I'll be the judge." Millie was just in utter shock at how she has to deal with such childish people. Finally, she agreed. "Fine." She added on, "Do it quickly before their scene ends."

Luckily, she didn't have to worry about that considering it's been like the fifteenth take already. Caleb started dancing in the beginning of the song, moving his arms and legs smoothly like noodles in a way. He then pointed to Millie, so she started 'dancing', causing Finn and Caleb to laugh hysterically. "Stop. Stop. You're killing me, Millie." Caleb choked out. Millie replied, "See guys! I told you I suck at dancing." Finn who tried to catch his breath responded, "Mills, on a scale of one to ten, I'd say you get an Eleven." he bursts out laughing out again, causing Millie to laugh with them. They laughed for about ten minutes straight.

~ flashback ends ~

The memorable song stopped and I felt my head ache so I lazily went back to the chair I sat at before... or at least I think it was my seat. I seated myself sluggishly on the chair. I don't know why but I had to squint my eyes to try and clear up my vision and it was just all blurry. I was dizzy for a few minutes. I...I really miss them, I thought before everything was slowly fading to black.
