Her old self

She's pleading but no one cares
She's crying but no one save her from her nightmares

She's a victim but you didn't lend your hand
So she has no choice and force herself to stand

And now she's standing alone
Her heart turned hard like a stone

She wakes up from her nightmare and change
A nightmare that makes her feel blue and strange

You're throwing daggers at her because of the changes she makes
Have you forgotten that she change herself for your sake?

You've tried to pull her down so she built her demon wings to fly
And now you're asking why

Why do I still want her by my side?
Why do I know the reason of the scars she hides?

I know because I witnessed how she suffered
Like a melody swallowed by your awful words

I know her better than anyone do
I know she force herself to change for all of you

And that makes it harder for me to accept that we can never be together again
Because killing my old weak self is the best way to survive in this world is what I learned.
