Ana's eyes fluttered open, and she gasped as she felt shudder through her body, and she groaned loudly, hurt smothering her sounds. Dust and soot and pieces of brick stuck to her hair, face, and body, and she could feel warm liquid flow down her legs and arm. Blood. She thought grimly, her stomach rolling as she looked around, adrenaline pumping through her veins. Grey cinder blocks, broken and in contact, littered the ground around her, dust flying from them at every movement. Bright light, shone above her, blinding her with the sun's ultraviolet rays. Raising a trembling arm to her face, she winced as she covered her eyes, swallowing the bile in her throat.

Lifting her head, she tried to speak, only to cough wildly as her body shook with each exhale of air. The sounds of boots and shoes scruffing the debris, she bit her lip, her eyes wet and glossy. Muffled voices of men, women, and children, were close, but distant, and she opened her mouth to speak, but only gasping when her tongue made no sound. Suddenly, a shadow passed over the rays, and her eyes widened when a man's tall figure leaned over into the hole she was prisoner to, and the man yelled out behind him, and someone else appeared across from them, and Ana crinkled her brows when the shadows backed away, and she swallowed nervously.

Once again, the first man's figure leaned over the hole, but something was different. Green spirals wound up his arm fluorescently, and her breathing quickened as the man raised his hands, the green spirals turning and twisting slowly up his arm and around his hand. The palm open wide towards her, she inhaled sharply, flipping her head in astonishment as she was lifted up, a green barrier around her bearing mystic symbols and moving together in synchronization. Her hair floated around her head, her body weightless and the man raised his hand, and Ana floated towards it.

As sunlight filtered in between the barrier, she squinted suspiciously at the figure, who stood stock still as he directed his hand over the rubble and somewhere by the road. She could feel the eyes of the other people from the cafe staring at her as a red ring of sparks whirled around at about her height from the ground, and she bit her lip harshly as she was sent through it. Where she was once in the remains of her job, she was now in an elaborate foyer, interesting objects and weapons concealed in gleaming glass cases on pedestals around her, the hardwood floors shining off the light filtering from a large stained window overhead, a round circular symbol, like the ones on the barrier around her, displayed elegantly at it. The man was standing behind her, the sparked ring disappearing into thin air as the barrier was brought to the ground.

Then her eyes lost focus and became hazy, and her head lolled backwards as she felt her consciousness drift away.
