Steven stood across from Ana in the training room, his blue robe tied around his waist, his dark pants and boots dressed on himself. His arms were folded across his chest, and his stoic expression was overwhelming for Ana, whose hands shook wildly in front of her as she held her palms towards Steven. Her breathing wavered slightly, as she closed her eyes, setting her jaw before she slowly moved one of her hands in a circular movement, breathing deeply as silence sat in the room. She could feel the power surging through her veins, and she willed it forward through her fingers, her adrenaline rushing. She heard as sparks cracked in the air, and Steven leaned forward eagerly, smiling with expectancy. Ana opened her eyes, inhaling sharply as red sparks jumped from her fingers, and she willed them forward.

And then she stopped.

A brief picture flashed before her eyes, and her hands dropped as she stumbled backward, falling into the wall as Steven rushed beside her, brows crinkled in worry. Ana's breathing wavered as she slid to the floor, her movements shaky as she ran a hand through her hair, the image flashing before her again. " No!" she shouted, making Steven jump and widen his eyes at her, and she squinted hers shut, biting her lip harshly. " Ana, what is it?" Steven said quietly, placing a hand on her shoulder, and she tensed before relaxing, turning her gaze to Steven. " I, um, I, I don't know how to describe it," she whispered, her voice quivering. Steven gritted his teeth together in annoyance before rushing to the kitchen, returning with a piece of paper and pencil, delivering them into Ana's quivering hands. " Can you draw what you saw?" he said in a calm and quiet voice. She swallowed audibly, nodding slowly, before placing the pencil to the paper.

Steven watched with amazement as she curved the pencil over the paper, intricate lines forming from the lead. The picture she was drawing seemed to sprout to life, and the black and white lines brought out every single detail. She finished and threw the pencil to the floor, running a hand over her face, breathing hard and trembling. Steven slowly slipped the pad from her hands and took one look at it, before he jumped to his feet, groaning as he dropped the pad to the floor. Ana squinted her eyebrows worriedly at him as he ran a shaking hand through his hair, his eyes wide.

The drawing showed a demolished New York, dust and rubble lining the remnants of streets and buildings. Corpses laid scattered among the debris, faces showered in shock and pain. The sky was smothered in darkness, dark clouds blotting out the somewhat invisible sun. The thing that caught Steven's eyes, however, was how in the middle, perched on a fallen building, was Mordo, his expression dark and twisted with evil, lips curled in a snarl. An amulet like Steven's was hung around his neck, casting an eerie gray glow on the rest of the  drawing.Steven stared down at the pad, eyes filled with shock and his jaw tense. Ana stumbled to her feet, attempting to stand, but instead let out a yelp of pain as she fell back down, gripping her head.

Steven snapped from his trance, and quickly picked up Ana bridal-style, and she sank into his arms, her breathing heavy and shaky as her eyes seemed to flutter in a limbo of asleep and awake. Steven gritted his teeth inside his mouth, his stomach rolling, his heart pumping in his ears. He walked up the stairs, and his room being closer, kicked his door open with the toe of his boot and set Ana down tenderly on the bed, where her eyes instantly fluttered closed in a dreamy haze and her breathing slowed and deepened. Whatever had happened to her had drained her energy. Steven gulped, his head running on a top, and he couldn't help but collapse against his wardrobe tiredly, his head in his hands.

Mordo was back. And he was coming.
