Two zealots came into the room briskly around Steven, avoiding his murderous gaze as they started to untie his bounds. Steven never moved his eyes from the screen, where Ana's frightened gaze and sorrowful expression never moved from his own. As the last ties wound from his hands, he smirked as he blew a punch in the zealot on the left's face, containing a smile at the satisfying crack, before kicking the other one hard in the groin, before both of them stumbled to the ground, yowling in pain. Steven tried to keep the excitement from his features, and he walked towards the door which stood to the left of him. He reached his hand towards the knob, but then jerked back furiously.
His hand felt like fire was coursing through his veins, and he yelled out in pain as he fell to his knees, the magic barrier over the door glowing brightly before dissolving again. " Steven!" Ana yelled out, attempting to jump from her chair, but only was returned with a burning pain on her wrists as the ropes pushed against them, and she grunted as tears bit at her eyes. Steven stumbled to his feet, his non-burning hand pushed up against the wall as he held his shaking hand in front of him, his eyes wet. He bit his lip as another burn shocked through them, and Ana had to do all she could to keep from yelling his name.
Mordo stood behind Ana, watching with a dark smirk on his face, hands on the back of Ana's chair. " Well, Steven. Seems you have a little handicap at the moment, don't you?" Mordo said, amused, as he rounded to stand beside Ana, and she reared back in disgust as he leaned down to her ear. " Now it's Ana's turn," he said with a sneer, and Ana gasped as something sharp sliced through her forearm, and she felt warm blood fall down her arm and onto the floor below with soft drips. She screamed out, her blood pumping as the deep and long cut seeped red, and tears flew down her cheeks, hot and salty. Steven yelled out dangerously, banging his fists on the television screen, his eyes full of rage and worry.
" Mordo, stop! Leave her alone!" he screeched, and Ana groaned as her head lolled lazily, the loss of blood affecting her greatly as her arm continued to pump fresh waves of it out. Steven's eyes stung with tears, and he bit his tongue as Ana looked up to him with a tear-stricken face, a deep grimace on her lips as her silver eyes burrowed into his ocean ones. Mordo rounded on Ana again, and grabbed a fistful of her hair in his fist, making her yelp as he harshly pulled backwards, Ana's scalp stinging as her heartbeat pounded in her ears, the only sound other than Steven's muffled yelling. Her vision was blurry, and she slipped from in between consciousness and unconsciousness, before something cold and sharp was placed to her neck, making her swallow the bile forming in her throat. Her stomach dropped as the knife Mordo held felt dangerously close to ending her life, and she inhaled sharply, awaiting the worst.
But then he stopped, and Ana was blown backwards, her consciousness knocked from her body as she felt her eyes close and she entered the darkness.
