Closer ~ MCFLY fan fiction

Part title

Tom has been home for a month now and he has lost his hair and he isn't really talking to anyone. I know he is ill but he's not himself and my bump is starting to show.

"Come on boys, school" I said as I grabbed the car keys and as I walked into the kitchen where they were with Tom "are you coming daddy?" Doug asked "yes" he smiled and they ran out to the car.

We were waiting on the playground for them to go and the boys were play fighting "stop fighting boys" I said as Tom was looking around "what's up?" I asked "everyone is staring at me" he said and I looked and saw two women looking at him "because they are jealous of me cause I'm the lucky winner of you" I smiled as the bell went "bye boys" I said as they ran in.

Me and Tom went home.

I found Tom crying, "what's up?" I said as o pulled him into a hug "I'm not gonna be here for the baby" he cried.

He was in the kitchen washing up and I went up behind him and wrapped my arms around him and put my head on his back "I love you" I said "I love you too" he smiled, we stood like that for a while and tears started to run down my face and I eventually cried into his back "why are you crying for?" He asked as he turned around and hugged me "cause I'm gonna lose you and I don't want to" I said "you'll never lose me, I'll still be here" he said as he put his head on my head and hugged me tight and I heard the door open but I didn't want to let go off this hug. "You two alright?" I heard Danny say "I don't want to lose my best friend" I said "I'm not going anywhere" Tom smiled "are you ready to record that song?" Danny asked Tom as Tom let go of me "yeah" he said as they were going to walk out "what song ?" I asked "you'll find out later" Tom smiled at me.

Tom's POV

Me and Danny drove to the studio with the rest of the guys.

"Why did you want to record a song ?" Harry asked as they all sat down "its a song for Lily and another for the boys for when I go" I said "I know I won't be here by the end of the year" I said looking at my feet "how do you know that?" Dougie asked "cause I've been told" I said and the boys just sat there "let's record" I said as I walked into the booth.

I record the song for the boys and we are listening to it "I love you Tom mate" Harry said "I love you two mate" i smiled "looks like this is the last year for Mcfly" Danny said "why?" I asked "there's no Mcfly without you. Your the reason why we are here today" Dougie said "look I don't want anyone to stop doing what they love because I'm gone. I could go tomorrow and I would still want you all to do music" I said "don't say that" Harry sighed "what? That I could be gone tomorrow, this could be the last time I see anyone. I hate knowing that I'm not going to be here to see my boys grow up and get married and have kids of their own" I cried "I won't be able to be with my wife." I said "I won't see any of you anymore and that kills me. I won't be here and everyone lives will go on. I never imagined my parents having to go to my funeral" I said as I cried and sat in the seat "I won't see Carrie get married and have children." I said "and what kills me the most is knowing my wife will have to get on with her life without me. I promised her on our wedding day that I will be with her every step of the way and i can't do that when I'm gone and the boys are only six and seven, that's too young for their dad to die. I wanted to be there through their teenage years. At their wedding and with my grandchildren but that will never happen" I cried as I got up and Doug started to cry and they all did and they all hugged me.

I recorded the songs for them all and we went home. "Daddy!" I heard Doug say as he ran to me and I picked him up "there's one my favourite people" I smiled at him and the lads went to the lounge "how was school?" I asked as we walked in the lounge "really good! I learned how to add and take away numbers" he smiled as I sat down and he sat down next to me and Buzz sat on the other side of me.
