5 years later.

"Mum" Buzz said as he walked into the kitchen in his school uniform "yes" I said as I made his and Dougie's lunches "where's dad?" He asked as he and Dougie ate their breakfast at the table "he is at the band house" I said.

10 minutes later we were in the car, driving to their school.

We got out of the car and Doug took my hand and Buzz walked beside me as we went on to the playground "mummy I don't want to go to school. I want to see daddy" Doug said "I promise you that daddy will pick you up from school" I smiled at them "okay" Buzz smiled and bell went "right I love you both very very much! Have a good day" I said as I kissed their heads and they went off.

I can't believe Buzz was seven and he was coming up eight in a few months and Doug was five and coming six again in a few weeks. Lola is now seven and still living with Harry.

I drove to the band house and I parked outside and went in. "Why are you dressed smart?" Harry asked as I walked in "I have a meeting but first I need to moan at Tom, where is he?" I said "TOM! LILY IS HERE TO MOAN AT YOU" Dougie shouted and he came walking down the stairs topless "you alright?" He smiled "you said you were gonna be there this morning to take the boys to school" I said "I know I did but I over slept" he said "I don't care Tom, you promised Dougie you would be there, he was heart broken when we got up and you weren't home. Your picking both of them up as I'm going to the gym and then I've got to plan Doug's birthday" I said "I promise I'll be there" he said "you better because you have promised the boys for weeks that you would take them to school" I said as I checked the time and he went in for a kiss "I'm gonna be late" I said as I ran out the house and got in my car and down to town.

"I'm so sorry I'm late" I said as I walked in "it's fine Hilfiger just sit down" my boss said.

FOUR hours of my life that I'm never gonna get back later....

I went home and planned Doug's birthday party and then went off to the gym for two hours.

I went home after the gym and as soon as I walked in the front door I got a phone call:
Me: Hello?
School: Hello Mrs Fletcher?
Me: Yes
School: Buzz and Dougie are still here as they haven't been picked up
Me: haven't they? My husband was supposed to pick them up.
School: well they will be at the front desk

I got back in my car and drove to the school and went to the front desk "mummy" they smiled as they ran and hugged me "where's daddy? You promised daddy would be here" Doug said "I know I did sweetie but daddy didn't keep the promise" I said as I put him in the car along with Buzz.

I drove to the band house and I walked in as I held Doug as he was crying and Buzz was beside me and Danny walked out of the kitchen eating a bowl of cereal and he looks at me "he's up there" he said as he pointed to the stairs and I went up and heard them laughing and Danny walked in first and then I went in with the boys "Buzz who was supposed to pick you and your brother up after school today?" I asked him "daddy" he said as Tom stood up and he was about to say something "don't say anything" I said "Tom's in trouble" Danny laughed as we went out the room and went down the stairs "I'll be home soon" Tom said from the top of the stairs "don't bother" I said as we walked out.

8pm

The boys had dinner and now we are all dressed in our pyjamas and we are all laid on the bed watching a movie. "I want to go to bed"Doug said "alright, bed time Buzz" I said as I picked up Doug "can I sleep in here?" He asked "alright then but only tonight" I said as I went to put Doug to bed and Tom walked up the stairs "what do you want?" I asked as I tucked Doug in and turned off the lights and walked out of his room "this is my house" he laughed "I'm sorry I didn't pick the boys up and I didn't take them to school" he said as we stood in the hallway "it's not just that Tom! You haven't been here for a month, you haven't seen the boys in a month! Buzz asked me if this was what happened between you and Gi" I said "Doug crys when he wakes up because your not here" I said "it's his birthday in two weeks but you'll most probably be in the band house" I said "I know, I know. But I have to work on this album" he said "I couldn't care about the album I care but the kids" I said "so I do but there is a deadline on the album. I will stay home and I will be here to take them and to pick them up" he said "alright but still" I sighed "I'll make it up to them" he smiled as we walked to the bedroom "I can't wait to sleep on my own bed" he yawned "well Buzz is sleeping in the bed tonight, so have the choice of the sofa, the floor or Buzz's bed" I said "I'll take the sofa" he said as he went down and I got into bed and Buzz was already asleep.
