"I'm scared Georgie" I whispered in George's ear outside of the Hogs Head pub in Hogsmeade. George looked down at me before kissing me lightly on the forehead. His lips lingered on my skin and warmed me from the cold around us. "I wont let them hurt you, I promise" He told me before the two of us along with other order members filed into the pub. Aberforh Dumbledore stood there with his long white beard and twinkling blue eyes that looked so much like his younger brother. He nodded to each and every one of us before leading us to a large picture frame of his sister Ariana Dumbledore.

I was only at the burrow for one day before all hell broke loose. Harry was at Hogwarts, and we all were needed there for protection. This was it, this was the fight we all were waiting for.....this night I could potentially lose everyone I love, I could even die myself. But I would fight with every bit of my soul before I let something happen to any of these people standing with me. I looked to my left and saw Fred, all six foot of him. His ginger hair falling into his light brown eyes, he was twiddling with his fingers nervously. "You ok Freddie?" I asked gently before reaching over and splitting his fingers apart and holding one in mine.

Fred nodded once before giving me a sad smile, and looking past me to give the same look to his brother. I know he still loved me, like he always did. But my feelings for him had dwindled and I loved him nothing more than a brother....my best friend. Fred has been and always will be a giant part of my life, and Im thankful to have known him, even with everything that happened between us. "I forgive you, you know" I told him softly. He looked shocked before pulling me into him tightly. "Thank you Ronnie. I dont deserve it but thank you" He said gently into my ear. George was looking at the two of us with a smile on his face, and when Fred let me go i walked into George's open arms.

The room of requirement looked so much different than I left it. There were hammocks in every nook of the room, and sleeping bags on the ground. Hogwarts under Snape's leadership was worse than I thought it was. It looked like at least of hundred kids were staying in here. "Come on Ronnie" George said grabbing my hand and pulling me through the door and out into the familiar corridor.

I was looking behind me in hopes of seeing my sister or Remus running behind us, I was desperate to see my sister after being away from her for so long. But behind me was nothing but Neville and Fred, shutting the door behind them. All of us hurried down the staircase, and i looked sadly seeing that the walls were bare. No portrait in sight, they were all missing. The only thing remaining was the white rectangular outlines where they used to be. Hogwarts was so different now, and I was glad I never came back.

Ron and Hermione were outside of the great hall, and i quickly hugged them both before the group of us shoved out way into the great hall. I smiled seeing Harry standing there confronting Snape in the center of the great hall. All students parting like the red sea for the chosen one. I must have missed whatever was being said because all of a sudden Mcgonagall was yelling to send the Slytherins to the dungeons and all kids were scattering around the school. "Oh Miss. Tonks!" I heard someone exclaim and i turned around to see Madam Pomfrey rushing to me. I smiled and hugged her quickly before looking up to her frightened face.

"Honey I need your held when wounded come in here!" She said to me. Of course there would be wounded, we could keep out the death eaters for a while but there was no way in hell every student here would survive this attack. "Of course! Just let me help with the protective spells" I told her, she nodded before running quickly over to Professor Slughorn. "I guess this is goodbye" George said pulling me over to the side of the room. I looked up at him confused, but quickly realized him and his brothers would all be helping in the fight. I nodded sadly before pulling him down to meet his lips to mine.

I closed my eyes and savored his taste, peppermint. I kissed him with everything I had, this could possibly be the last kiss I shared with this man and I wanted to remember all of it. "I love you Veronica Tonks" He said resting his forehead against mine. "And I love you George Weasley" I replied before he looked at me one last time before running off with his father and Bill. I sighed sadly before walking outside.
