Thylane
The moment we arrived at the front doors of our house, Mr. Crawford, our very trustworthy butler who has been with us since I was a toddler, greeted us along with two maids at his sides.
"Welcome home, Miss Thylane." He said, smiling. He then told the maids to get my luggage in the car.
I just smiled at Mr. Crawford then he ushered me towards our back garden where my parents are waiting. We will be having our lunch there. It's very rare to see my family complete during a meal since I have been to boarding school so I wouldn't really pass up any opportunity even though I want to hit my bed badly.
"Your parents are very excited to see you again Miss" Mr. Crawford said as we're nearing the doors that lead to the back garden.
"I could say the same." I replied.
I noticed that my brother have been very silent and never utterred a word since we arrived. I stole a quick glance at his direction. He seems to be in a deep thought. I nudged his arm.
"Is something wrong?" I asked as I stopped walking. He too, stopped walking and turned his direction towards Mr. Crawford.
"Mr. Crawford, I believe you still have something to do. Ill escort my sister towards the garden." He said politely.
"Of, course. Sir, you two have a nice day ahead Miss"
Mr. Crawford then bowed to my direction and then turned left down the hall.
"Is there something I should know?" I asked worriedly.
"Nothing, just a bit hungry. Come on."
And with that he walked towards the garden leaving me in the hallway, lost.

My parents and my brother were waiting for me at the dining table and foods were already served. I'm guessing they were waiting for me for a while now but nonetheless, they were happy to see me.
"It's good to have you back darling" My mother said as she pulled away from the hug.
"Yeah mom, I missed you too." I said and glanced at my father who is already walking towards me and offering me his arms clearly wanting to hug me.
"Dad!" I exclaimed as I jump into his arms. I have always been my daddy's girl. Whenever he would have a business matter in London, he would always grab the opportunity to visit me in my boarding school.
"I miss you too Princess" Dad said as he laughed and ruffled hair. He then ushered me towards my seat and pulled out the chair for me. Always the gentle man. My mom is a one lucky girl.
When we were all seated at the dining table, we held hands together and bowed our heads. My mom said a quick prayer of thanks for the food in front of us. After that, we all started digging in.
We were all having a great conversation when I blurted out the question I had in mind since my brother left me at the hallways.
"Mom, Dad? Do you have anything you want to say to me?" I asked.
My parents look at each other looking like they've been caught doing something bad. My mom then glared at my brother.
"What? I didn't do anything wrong." My brother said innocently and continued eating his food.
"Honey, Thylane, we have something to tell you and we hope that you would understand." My mom said in a gentle tone.
"What is it?"
My brother kicked my feet under the table but I never glanced in his direction. Instead, I focused my attention on my father and mother.
" You will marry Luca Elijah Giardini" My dad said glancing worriedly at me.
