Thylane

The bright sun rays that had seeped into my windows woke me up- realizing I have forgotten to draw the blinds close since I was drowning in my own thoughts. Getting out of my bed, I went straight to the side table where my phone had been placed. Remembering the things I learned last night, goosebumps started to form on the surface of my skin. Just thinking of Luca being in the Mafia scared me. He never really gave me the impression of being in the Mafia the first time I saw him. Yes, he was dominating and he can be very intimidating. I am also starting to see how he can be very possessive over things but I never thought of him as one in the Mafia.

Could it be the reason I was almost kidnapped last night? I could only hope not. I am certainly sure that I will not get acquainted with someone like Luca. If he was really a dangerous man and if I break off the engagement, would he kill me?

Gab.

Gabriel was there. He was talking to Luca about me so he definitely knew. Was he part of the Mafia too?

The more I think about, the more my head hurts. Maybe a shot of paracetamol would help. Making my way through the bathroom, I hastily scanned through the drawers and found one. I quickly downed the paracetamol and that's when I caught my reflection in the mirror. I look horrible. My hair was everywhere, eyes puffy and swollen and dark bags are starting to show under my eyes. My face is a ghostly shade of white, and my cheek bones are sharper than they used too. The ugly dark purple bruises covered the side of my face. I traced the bruises but I instantly retraced my fingers when I felt a stinging pain.

Maybe me stressing about this engagement has taken its toll. Not really happy with my look, I started to went straight to shower. Once I was done with the shower, I went straight to my room to change clothes. I put on a black leggings and a baggy grey sweater and finished my look with a white pair of sneakers.

My stomach grumbled so loud reminding me of the dinner I missed last night and most probably, breakfast since it's already near noon. Might as well eat brunch.

Leaving my bedroom in a haste, I went straight to the kitchen. My stomach grumbled again loudly so I had to put a hand over it. Easy there buddy, going to feed you soon.

The whole room was eerily quiet, indicating that I am the only person in the suite. I'm yet to question Luca but he's already off to nowhere doing god-knows-what. To be frankly honest, I am still quite scared to confront him. Hell, I'm scared to even see a strand of his hair. Strangely, I kind of miss his presence. Luca is not hard to miss. Damn it. I am still yet to thank him, even after what I have heard, he still saved me last night.

The moment I entered the kitchen, my gaze was already fixed to the already placed food on the table. I quickly walked towards it. Eggs, bacons, pancakes, sausages; my stomach grumbled at the sight. I was about to grab a piece of bacon when I noticed a small note beside a large glass of orange juice.

Had some errands to make. I'll be back. Do not step a foot outside the suite.

Great, just great, now he's ordering me around. I huffed as I took a seat and started digging in. The food was heaven inside my mouth. Foodgasm is actually real or maybe I was just so hungry but whatever it taste just as good.

When I finished my meal, I cleaned up pretty quickly and I decided to went straight to my bedroom to call my dad. Maybe ask him about Luca or is it a bad idea? I mentally face palmed myself. Stupid.
