I stared, gobsmacked at my little brother. "Okay, first of all. He isn't my boyfriend! Secondly, when did you guys have this chat?!" I was fuming now.

"Earlier today." Jake mumbled, shifting on his spot slightly. I frowned at Zach and he shot me an innocent yet sheepish smile back.

"And Jake! Such foul language! Who taught you to speak like this?!" I yelled. He shot me a cheeky grin, pointing at Zach.

"Hey! We had an agreement! You tell me when your sister's birthday is and I teach you swear words! You don't tell her! That's like... breaking the bro code!" Zach yelled, practically throwing a hissy fit. But I could see the playful twinkle in his eye.

"Oh fuck. Sorry man, I didn't know it was that deep."

"Jake!" I scolded, before turning to Zach. "And Zach! Why would you teach my little brother to swear in exchange to know my birthday. Just why?"

"Because..." He trailed off. His eyes suddenly widened and he practically jumped on me. "Fuck! Adrian you're only in your underwear in front of your little brother!"

I screamed but didn't forget to flick his forehead. "Jake! Get out of here!" Jake ignored me and grabbed the controller from my hand instead.

"Get. Off. Of. My. Sister. You. Fucking. Hoe!" He yelled out with each hit on Zach's back.

"Ow! You little-"

Zach was cut off by the door swinging open. My mother walked into the house, opening her mouth, most likely to yell 'I'M HOME!' But stopped dead in her tracks when she saw us.

Her mouth snapped close.

"What the devil is going on here?!" She yelled, dropping her Micheal Kors bag and running up to us. This must've looked really bad. Me in my underwear, Zach's body covering my own and Jake continuously whacking Zach on the back with the controller.

"Uh... I can explain."

By the time I finished explaining to my mum about what happened minus the part where Zach and I were a bit too close. She was a laughing mess. She kept smacking my back every time I said that Jake hit Zach on the back because he smelt 'yucky'. Yeah, we kind've made some stuff up along the way and Zach was not happy.

He kept shooting me annoyed looks and he and Jake were planning something as they kept whispering in each others ear and pointing at me, cackling quietly.

Once my mother was finished laughing and wiping her tears she announced that she was going to make dinner. "-and Zach, you're staying."

"No!" I yelled, exactly the same time he and Jake yelled. "Yes!"

Zach stuck his tongue out at me. "You're just a hater button!"

Jake put a hand on Zach's shoulder. "Don't worry Zachy poo, haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate." They both burst out laughing, including my mother. I sat there. Like a sideman. Sulking.

"Whatever." I grumbled, my shoulders slumping.

"Awh! Is my cute little button upset?" Zach stood up, walking towards me with his arms spread open.

"Go away." I muttered under my breath. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his embrace. I know he hugged me in a joke-y type way but I couldn't help but nuzzle my face into his chest and wrapped my arms back around him.

"I sad." I mumbled into his chest. It was a lie, I only wanted the hug to last and to my utter pleasure, Zach kissed my forehead with his warm, plump lips.
