The Trial

Amy-Leigh's Pov

I can't believe what I'm hearing from Lauren " you cannot be on that stand they'll kill you if you tell or not " I said to ranting to Lauren she looked down biting her lip then spoke up " what choice do I have the Detective put me down as a witness I have to be in court today trust me I know what's at risk " she replied I know she's thinking of what will happen to Nate and Carter if this trial goes South. " Nate just texted me he's outside waiting for us " Lauren said " let's get going then everything's going to be okay " I replied giving her a reassuring hug then we left, arriving at court I didn't realise how scary it would be Nate was sitting with Lauren before the trial started a door slammed shut we all looked up to see the guy's walking in Carter ran up to where we were sitting " hey how she doing " he asked me " I think she's doing okay she's putting on a brave face " I replied sighing " are you okay " he asked " honestly I don't know just being here is making me freak out " I replied I noticed Crawford looking at me I gave him a small smile he gave a small wave then turned back round to talk to the guy's why does everything have to be so difficult Carter then hugged me. 

Nate's Pov 

I feel like I'm dreaming like nothing's real but sadly it is I'm worried about Lauren will cope on the stand and myself " Nate I can't do this to you or them it's not fair " Lauren said to me her eyes filling up with tears " yes you can I'll be right by your side no matter if I go to prison or not but there's one thing I want you to promise me " I replied holding her hand in mine " what " she asked " that you'll be here when I get out I know how it's going to go just tell them everything about the guy's okay I love you to the moon and back baby " I replied kissing her passionately we both pulled away breathless " I promise I love you too Nate " she said hugging me. " I'm sorry to interrupt you both but it's time to start the trial " our lawyer said to us we got up from our seat and walked to the court room " I love you " I said to Lauren before sitting with the guy's " can I please have Miss Lauren McAdam to the stand " the judge asked. Lauren got up slowly walking to the stand so did the Detective " now I'm just going to ask you some questions Lauren okay " he said " okay " she replied " did you know about Nah's gang when you first started dating " he asked she looked at me I nodded for her to tell him. " Not at first no but within a few weeks Mr Grier sat down and told me about his gang " she replied calmly " were you aware of his strange behaviour " he continued " no I was not Nash was a quiet person but I had a gut feeling something wasn't right " he cut her off " is that when the abuse started " he was really testing her now " yes but the first time was accidental I was coming downstairs he had his back turned to me I couldn't see his facial expression but I could tell he was angry from the way he was gripping the sink the way he turned round he hurt my cheek Nash apologised I'd forgiven him " she said breathing heavily " lastly how did your relationship with Mr Maloley happen " he replied with a stern look I mouthed to her it's okay " Nash and myself were broken up again I went to the beach house that we usually stay at during the summer Nate came up to make sure I was okay because I was upset about it we kissed that night since then I couldn't deny my feelings for him " she said swallowing thickly and taking a sip of water " one more thing did Mr Grier ever take you from your friends meaning did he kidnap you " he asked Lauren took a deep breath before continuing " yes on many occasions after we'd split up he found me in WhiteChapel then time's between that as well " she replied.  " okay time for a break you'll be called in once the judge has made her decision " Raeken told everyone Lauren ran over to me crying I was crying too I just stood there hugging her I could feel Nash's eyes burning in the back of my head but I just ignored him.

Time Skip

Nash's Pov

We all walked back into the trial my heads all over the place hopefully the cop I gave a wad of cash to get's me and the guy's out of this. I look over to where Lauren is sitting she's staring into space she looked at me for a split second fear struck throughout her entire body the judge began to talk " I've had a good look at the evidence the jury and I find the 410 gang guilty " she said " Mr Maloley I'll grant your request to see your girlfriend " she said to Nate he walked over to Lauren she cried in his arms. " What's your plan now " Cam asked glaring at me how was I supposed to know she would tell the truth about everything " I'll give the prison driver money so he'll let us escape " I replied " it better work " he said clenching his jaw.  An hour later we were still waiting to be taken away " when the fuck are we leaving " Jack J yelled kicking the wall in frustration we all heard a whistling sound looking up I see Lauren " what the hell are you doing here " I asked gripping the cell bars " to see you guy's " she replied my blood was at boiling point " why so you can rub it in my face that you're free from me now " I said " what no I came to see if you guy's were okay because despite everything that's happened between us my dumb ass still gives a shit about you and I don't know why " she replied frustrated she began to walk away almost at the door " wait " I yelled I was desperate now Lauren stopped in her tracks slowly turning around " what now " she said this is gonna be a low blow here it goes " look be pissed at me all you want but not at the guy's don't send them to prison they didn't do anything wrong " I was cut off by her " really Sam helped you kidnap me , Cameron drugged my coffee to kidnap me for you oh also you kept me in a warehouse so no one could find me lastly you said I was yours like I was some prize to be won at a carnival not to mention the shit you put me through you know I don't know why I didn't turn you in long ago just you I'll find a way to get the rest of you out " she said tears slowly falling down her face.
