Dinner

Jessicas POV

I thought that a dinner with all of us would be a good idea. Jacob picked Jai and Emily up from school to get Charlie from the train station. Emily is picking Mr Conor up later so he can drink. Memal is here already she's staying in Chris's bedroom and Emily Chris and Jai are bunking together.

'MEMAL How are you. How was your flight. How's grandad. Have you heard anything from dad' Emily say hugging memal in the kitchen.

People may think it's strange that I'm alright with my ex's mum but she's Emily and Jacobs Mamal. Who am I to take that relationship away from them. She never did anything wrong to me. Emily acts like she's not bothered by the fact her dad felt her again. I know my daughter better than that and I know deep down she's bothered.

'One question at a time my darling' She says leading Emily to the table.

'How are you' Emily says smiling at both of us.

'I'm fine. The main question is how are you' Memal says she says putting her finger on her nose. Causing Emily to giggle.

'I'm doing good and before you ask you can ask Mr Conor later about school because I'm past the point in giving a Shit' Emily says. Shockingly memal doesn't say anything about her language like she normally does.

'How's Grandad' Emily say offering her a drink.

'He's fine. He's getting better maybe next time he might be able to come and see you' Memal says smiling.

Grandad had been ill for a long time. First he had cancer that got removed then he had leukemia which he fought away. Now he has dementia which means he doesn't even remember who Memal is sometimes never mind Emily who he hasn't seen face to face for over 4 years.

'Have you heard from Dad recently' Emily says trying to get even a tiny bit of hope.

'No last time I heard from him he wanted to see you again' Memal says. He wants to see her again since when.

'When was this like round about' Emily says.

'Maybe last month why haven't you heard from him' Memal says clucking her hands.

'No last time was when I saw him. It's fine honestly. I'm going to go get ready. Jai is coming in an hour but I'll probably have set off by then. So I'm sure he will make himself at home' Emily says going out the kitchen.

//FAST FORWARD TO DAN BEING AT THE HOUSE//

Mr Conor has told me to call him Dan since that's what Emily Jai and Jacob have been calling him. Charlie is really nice tall near black hair I wouldn't say it was short but it isn't long either.
The seating arrangement is Memal Jai Chris Emily Dan Jacob Charlie me then Jamie around the table.

'Jessica this looks lovely' Charlie say. As Emily coughs and says suck up.

'Emily take it back. That was uncalled for' Jacob says smiling.

'Fuck you' She says sticking her middle finger up.

'Little bitch' Jacob says back.

'Bastard Shit dick fuck' Emily says smiling.

'Children not around that table' Jamie says. Receiving dead eyes and an eye roll of both of them.

After dinner I was just about to put dessert on the table when Emily scrapes her chair back and runs outside saying nothing.

As Jacob stands up to see what she's doing he is in no rush to go outside.
