Emilys POV
After last night I just want to sleep awake up shop and forget it ever happened. My mum called this bridal boutique place where they custom make dresses. So where going there first as it's by appointment only.
Me and mum agreed that i can drive there and back. Were dropping Jai off at his house. Then later I'm getting on his bike and going to his house. I now know that he heard what I said last night to Jamie. I do want to move out soon not because I don't love living with my mum. It's the constant changing of boyfriend that I can't deal with.
We've been to about 10 bridal boutique places and my mum didn't like any of the dresses. So we decided to go for lunch at this place round the corner. You know it's one of those places where you know exactly what to order. It's when my mum always takes me to break something to me or to have a talk about my behaviour.'So what is it this time news or talk about my behaviour' I say as the waiter walk away after taking are order. 'Behaviour. Last night and we still need to have a chat about what I saw outside' My mum says closing her menu. Shit I though shed forgot about it by now. 'Okay last night was not my fault and even if it was I handled it well' I state. 'No I wanted to say thank you for handling it so well. Also if something is happening between you too. Which I wouldn't care about. It wasn't his place to highlight that. That I'm sorry for' She says looking across the table at me. 'Thank you Mar. Nothing is happening between us by the way were just friends. He's a great guy and he will make the right girl a hamsome husband and I would be happy for him but friends is all we are' I say nodding between the words. 'Now more importantly I need to talk to you about what I saw the other week' She says sitting up straight. 'Okay what do you want to know' I say trying to act confident on the outside. 'Did Chris smoke any' Mum says looking at me sternly. 'No he didn't. He was keeping me company' I say crossing my fingers under the table it's a little trick me and Jacob used to and still do when lying. It just makes us feel better. 'Is that a promise' She says as I nod my head with my fingers still crossed under the table. 'I've never smoked. Who got you into them' She says relaxing now she's realised it was only me her own daughter. 'My self I buy them myself. I can go without I just don't. It's more of a this is what I want to do thing. I am not and have not forced it on anyone or smoked around anyone who hasn't been comfortable with it' I say putting her mind at rest answering as many questions as I can think that she will ask. 'Okay another thing these sessions at school. I haven't got a chance to speak to you the headmaster or your teacher' She says smiling and dropping the subject of smoking. 'What about them. I'm surprised they haven't tried to set up a meeting after the fight' I say smirking. 'Why would your school ring me they know I'll just tell them to do one it's your life. I am as well I do want to meet your tutor though' She says smiling. Sure u would love to sit around a table with My Mum, Jamie, Chris and my boyfriend if thats even what we are calling it. Doesn't that sound like fun I almost forgot my boyfriend is also my teacher so that was fucked before it even started. 'Yeah Monday I'll get him to ring you or I'll ring you and put him on. Whatever seems right at the time' I know that I don't want this to happen. I also know that on Monday nothing will seem right apart from him and me alone. 'Yeah its your call. We should get going of you want to be at Jai's at your normal time' My mum knows me so well but doesn't at the same time.
I'm just pulling up onto the drive way if Jai's house opening the garage. When Mrs trash herself pulls up with
Alison in the car. 'Look who it is if it isn't little miss leftovers' Alison snears. 'How's your nose eyes and neck it would be a shame if they got bruised again' I say rolling my eyes and walking in the house. 'Mum I'm home' I say walking into the kitchen to see Jai's mum making some sort of baking. 'Your here. I'm sorry for what my son did. I'm so glad your back home' She says hugging me. 'Its fine he didn't realise. I'm glad I'm back home too' Its true my life has been constantly changing with who's in it but Jai's house and family have been my constant saviour. 'Its you ever need to talk about anything that going on in that head if yours. I'm always here no matter what happens with jai' She says hugging me tighter like she knows what happened.
'I'm guessing your mum found zero dresses' Jai says as soon as I walk into his bedroom. 'No nothing we just walked a drove round all day for no wedding dress. Plus side I did buy my self somethings whilst walking past shops. So it wasn't a total wasted trip' I say falling into his bed backwards. 'You know I was thinking maybe if you like we could go homecoming' He says casually. We knew we would always go with each other if we didn't have dates it just sort if didn't slip my mind that he was genuinely going to ask. 'Yes' Is all I Say.
