Dan's POV

It's been three years since I last time I've kissed her. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss her. We haven't seen each other for at least 18 months. We know where each other are if we need anything. I moved away from town not that far out the next town over. A quite neighbourhood. I found my self a girl my own age. She already had a kid but I can cope with that. They moved into my house pretty fast. Emily must have changed her names as theres no sign of an Emily Wilks anywhere in the world. I know that she's alive purely through Jai's social media she's on that occasionally by he never tags her.

Amy is at nursery today so Becky is on her way to pick her up. I'm setting up a film and main our favourite snacks for when they get back. Amy comes running in hugging my legs.
'How's nursery been today darling' I say smiling picking up her to out her on the side.
'It was amazing. We had a new teacher today' She says smiling brightly.
'That's good. Shall we go and start to film' I say lifting her up spinning her around.

Half way through the film Amy has her head on my lap and her legs across Becky. As there's a knock at the door Becky says that's she'll get it that way there is less chance of her being disturbed.
'Um Hi is this Mr Daniel Conor's home' A voice says. The voice sounds slightly familiar I would have only heard it once or twice.
'Who are you' Becky says.
'Is this his house then' The woman who is stood outside says.
'Yeah it is. Who are you' Becky says impatiently.
'Emily. Just tell him I came by please' Emily. It can't be my Emily. Why would she come here what could she need me for.
'I will do' She says slamming the door. 'Emily was at the door who ever that was'
'I need to go and talk to her. It must be important' I say as the slamming of the door woke Amy up I don't have to worry about that. I get up and open the door to see no car there she couldn't have set off that fast and that silent. I walk to the end of the drive I see a figure walking down the street away from my house. That might be her. 'Emily' I say as the figure stops walking. 'Emily' I say again as they turn around. 'Are you okay' I say as she starts walking straight towards me. 'You look good. Why don't you come back and have a drink' I'm not lying she does look good she looks tired though. Worn like she's not slept in weeks.
'Are you sure your girlfriend won't mind' She whispers.
'No she'll understand not at first but she will' I say. I might have to just say Emily is an Ex pupil. 'There is something I should tell you. She has a daughter and they both live in the house' She just nods.

'I feel like I've ruined your movie night' Emily says.
'No you haven't. I already told you that your welcome anytime' I say as Becky looks at me. 'Can we talk in the kitchen for a second' She follows me.
'Who is that girl' Becky says.
'She's an Ex pupil of mine. She had major issues but I helped her work through them. I think she's hit a rough patch again. I want to help her' I say smiling as she nods.
'Okay but not forever' She says as we walk back into the living room. I see Emily helping Amy read a story.

'I'll go now. I've taken enough of your time up. Thank you for letting me into your home' Emily says standing up locking her backpack up.
'We were thinking maybe you could stay' I say smiling.
'Thank you. I'll be out of your hair before you wake up. I promise' Emily says.
'I'm tired. Can you take me up to bed Emily' Amy says putting her arms up.

As there upstairs getting Amy into bed. It's just me and Becky downstairs.
'Thank you for letting her stay' I say smiling kissing her.
'She's not just an Ex pupil is she. She's an Ex. Tell me the truth' She says as I nod. 'Tell me honestly. Do you still have feelings for her' She says. I don't know do I. I don't think I do but then again I haven't seen her.
'No I don't think I do' I say as Emily walks in. 'Come on what did you decide your last name to be'
'I officially don't have one or a first name. I'm invisible' She says.
'What that doesn't even make sense' Becky says. I feel like this is the point where she realises how messed up "Emily Sophia Wilks" is.
'It's impossible to escape a name. My name Wilks will always be on the system. Always. No matter what I change my name to it won't change a thing. I'll still be the same messed up kid' Emily says.
'What happened to sorting your life out' I say.
'Easy for you to say. I have nothing apart from that bag. I sorted it out me and Jai were travelling around America. He's now settled with a rich Cali girl. My mum is god knows where with God knows who.  My brother is to wrapped in his own world to care about me. My dad is in prison again. Don't take this the wrong way but this is my last hope' She says. What about Chris they were close last I heard.
'You can stay here for as long as you want honey' Becky says empathetic.

As were laid in bed. Emily is on the sofa. 'That poor girl' Becky says.
'She's looked after herself her whole life' I say.
'I feel for her. How old is she' Becky say tears in her eyes.
'I think 18-19. She's been through I lot. A hell of a lot' I say. I can't believe that Jai had just settled in Cali and left his bestfriend on her own.
'We have to help her in anyway we can' Becky says.
'Yeah. I'm just going to make sure she's okay' I say.

I creep down the stairs to see her just starting at the ceiling. She's still awake. 'You can't sleep' I say.
'Something like that. You seem happy. I'm sorry for wreaking ball you life again' She says sitting up.
'No that's okay. I think of worse people' I say laughing sitting next to her.
'I'm assuming everyone is asleep' She says smiling.
'No. I wanted to talk to you. What went wrong in that brilliant mind of yours' I say.
'I guess people left that I really needed to just stay around. Selfish I know but that's me. I've got used to people leaving it stings less each time' She says scrunching the blanket.
'Don't you ever feel alone' I say as she looks at me.
'All the time. Everyone needs human contact sometimes' She says.
'How do you do the whole on your own thing so well' I say asking her the same questions as last time getting complete different answers.
'I don't know if I do it well anymore. Maybe I do. My mum hasn't noticed yet' She says. What happened with her mum.
'Don't you wish she cared more' I say as tears form in her eyes.
'What's the point the damage is already done. I don't think it is that she doesn't care I think it's the fact she cares about her self and her long list of boyfriends more but it's always been that way' She's rolling her eyes.
'Don't you get lonely'
'All the time I wish I could say it's temporary but it's been consuming me for a while' She says.
