"This hasn't been the first time that he's sent assassins to kill us," Lillian said.
"Our boat doesn't leave until early in the morning, do you want to help me get rid of this Count Vondrake?" I asked.
"Yes, London will be safer without him," Lillian said.
They brought their favorite weapons and I stopped at the apartment to get mine. We left the horse and carriage about a block away from his mansion, so not to alert him or his servants of our arrival. Lillian and the girls stopped and turned to me.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
"No. There is no one here at the mansion," Lillian answered.
"Where would they go?" I asked.
"I don't know," Lillian replied.
"Maybe we can find some clues to where they went on the inside."
We cautiously open the door and walked in. The mansion was in disrepair. It seemed as if no one lived here, but we knew different. I found Vondrake coffin and opened it. No one was home.
A smaller coffin layed off to the side out of the way. I opened it and no one was home either. A colorful piece of paper caught my eye. I pulled it from under the mat. It was a travel brochure to Tibet.
"Lillian look at what I found."
She examined it and said, "they both touched it?"
"Who touched it?"
"Count Vondrake and Edgar his half human servant."
"How did they know we were going to Tibet?"
"I wasn't sure but I am now that Edgar is telephathic. He must have spied on us to find out about the silver chalice."
"The race is on and they're ahead of us by a day," I said.
"We have the an advantage over them," Lillian said with a smile.
"What's the advantage?" I asked.
"We have Josh Gordon the famous vampire killer with us."
I smiled as Lillian tried to put a good spin on our situation.
