I started to get hungry, so I asked Lillian if she wanted to go to the diner with me. She closed her book and stood up.

"Sure," she said as she took a few swallows from her red bottle.

"Would you girls like to come to the diner too?," I asked.

They shook their heads no. So I opened the door for Lillian. When we walked into the diner car their were several people eating and drinking. We walked past them and sat at one of the windowed tables.

The cook took my order of fried chicken and Lillian ordered a ham sandwich. I thought that was unusual. I leaned over to Lillian.

I whispered, "I thought that you didn't eat regular food?"

"I don't, but the cook and the other have been watching us," she whispered.

"Will it hurt you if you eat?" I whispered.

"Not if I don't eat a lot," she whispered.

The cook brought us the food. Lillian took several bites and everyone went on about their business, even the cook. People continued entering and leaving the diner.

Lillian read everyones thoughts as they came in. She tapped my hand when this one man walked into the diner. I looked up and saw him. There was nothing different about him.

"Count Vondrake has sent him to kill us," Lillian whispered.

"So he knows we're in the train behind him?" I whispered.

"Yes, the Count has turned this man and sent him after us," she whispered.

I paid the bill and we left the diner. I was hoping he would follow us and not hurt anyone in the diner and he did.

"Don't worry about this one," Lillian said.

I turned around and seen the killer leave the diner car. A flash of a long sword was all I seen and then the mans head tumbled off of his shoulders. His body slumped and fell off the train too. The twins jumped down and wiped the blood off their swords then slid them back into their sheaths.

"Wow, I'm impressed," I said.

"I called the girls because the killer had a gun with silver bullets and where are you gonna run on a train?" Lillian asked.

"It was good that they used their swords, because if I had used my gun they may have put us off the train," I said.

They both smiled as they walked past Lillian and I.

"Thank you girls," I said as we returned to our cabin. We played cards until the sun started to come up I kissed Lillian and then they slid into their sleeping bags. I closed my eyes and was lulled to sleep by the clickty clack of the train on the rails.
