"I asked Lillian if she knew of such a creature and she suggested that it might be a doctor with access to hospital medical records," I answered.
"Lord I hope not," Mcconnell said.
"Coffee?" I asked.
"Yes please," he said as he sat down at the table.
"Why don't you want the muders to be a doctor?" I asked.
"Do you know how hard it is to prosecute a doctor?" he asked.
"No," I said.
"They are an important part of the community and are wealthy from treating rich sick people," he said.
"You know that I'd never let a murderer go free, no matter who they are," I said.
"Yes Josh," he acknowledged.
"You know where we need to start?" I asked.
"I'm afraid at the hospital in the record department," Mcconnell answered.
"Yes, but we can't let anyone know that what were doing," I said.
He gave me a strange look then asked, "what do you have in mind?"
"Visiting the hospital after hours," I said with a grin.
"Don't get caught," Mcconnell said.
"You don't have to worry, beause I've learned some tricks from the Shamem priest plus I have a complete set of keys that will open any door," I said.
Mcconnell smiled at me because he knew I'd get the job done. He finished his coffee and left. I went to the tailors shop to find a long white lab coat to blend into the hospital better.
It wasn't dark yet so I went to visit Lillian. It was unbelievable what they had accomplished in only one day. The gray stone colored mansion was almost completely painted white. There were curtains in every window now.
I knocked on one of the huge double doors. Lillian answered the door. A big smile spread across her face.
"Do you make house calls doctor?" she asked.
"It seems as if I do," I answered with a chuckle.
