"What?" Dean asked as if he wasn't sure what he heard was correct.

"Marissa is here. In the car. Right now." Sam enunciated every word clearly.

"You've got to be kidding me." I could hear the annoyance in Dean's voice. "Marissa."

I slowly got up, afraid to see Dean's expression. I met his eyes in the rear view mirror and gave him a nervous smile. "Hi," was all I managed to say.

"Hi? How about you tell me why you came after I made it clear that I did not want you to come." Dean wasn't yelling at me which made me nervous to even speak.

"I-I just wanted to help. I thought that if I stood in a hotel then I could help you guys from afar." I replied in a soft voice.

Dean sighed, as did Sam. "Marissa, we told you not to come for a reason. Not because we didn't want you with us."

"Speaking of 'us', you heard Sam and I calling you cute didn't you?" Dean accused.

I shook my head quickly, worried that I might do a word vomit and start talking about what I did hear.

Dean squinted his eyes at me as if he was going to get me to tell him the truth through squinted eyes, and then he looked back at the road.

"I might have heard a little bit." My mouth moved faster than my brain could even tell my mouth to shut up.

"I knew it." Dean said.

"Dean just drop it." Sam said. "Who cares if she heard us. What we should worry about is how we are going to keep her safe."

Dean nodded in agreement and the rest of the ride was silent.

After a full twenty-four hours, thanks to Dean's car clock, we finally reached a motel in the city that Lucifer was in. I was so glad we reached our destination without any of the guys wanting to kill me for sneaking into their car.

I'll get us a room with three beds if they're available." Dean exited the car, leaving Sam and I alone.

A few minutes passed and it was silent between me and Sam.

"So.." I tried to break the silence which made the silence awkward rather than just quiet. "You think I'm cute?"

I could see Sam's cheeks rise a little from a smile. He never turned my way but replied anyway. "Yeah I do. Is that okay? It won't be weird between us, right?"

I shook my head. "Oh no, of course not. I think it's kind of cool. Having a guy from my favorite show think I'm cute. I'm pretty sure that is my best friend's wishes back in my dimension. Or my world. Or my home. You know what I mean."

Sam laughed, which made his teeth show. Ugh, he's so beautiful. I actually wish it was Sam who tried to make a move on me, and not Dean.

Dean finally came back with the hotel key and we all carried our bags to the room. Dean unlocked the door and I switched the light on. The light revealed two beds, instead of three, and I looked at Dean.

"Three weren't available?"

"Nope. Only two. So that means you're gonna share with one of us, or one of us is sleeping on the floor." Dean pushed his way in and settled his bags on one of the beds.

I shrugged my shoulders and did the same. I took my clothes out and stuck them in the drawers that came with the hotel.

Sam placed his bags on the other bed and did the same thing.

"It's been a long day hiding in your backseat for more than twelve hours. My muscles are tense so I'm going to head to the bathroom and sit in hot water for a while."
