Months had passed and I stood protected in the bunker this whole time. I didn't mind at all. I had my entertainment beating up Sam and Dean.
Cas spent time with me trying to help me travel places. He also helped me focus on my telepathy and the angel radio. I also found out this really cool power I have. Apparently people with the same ability are called "whisperers". I have the power to understand the minds of people and animals without any audible communication. Which is pretty cool if you ask me.
Sam spent his time helping me control my telekinesis. Honestly, my time spent with Sam was a time well spent. He and I learned so much more about each other.
"So before any of this happened, what were you going to school for?" Sam asked me as we were taking a break from all of this practice.
"What makes you think I was in school? How do you know I wasn't employed already?" I asked trying to make a joke.
Sam didn't answer but I could tell my response made him nervous. "I didn't mean it-"
"Sam, I was joking," I said laughing. I nudged his shoulder. He is so tense sometimes. "I was actually going to school to become a nurse like my mom. But there are actually quite a few steps before becoming a nurse with a bachelors degree."
"A nurse huh?" Sam looked at me and smiled, winking at me. "You would've been a hot nurse."
I laughed at his compliment. "You would've been a good looking lawyer."
"Did you have friends in school?"
I nodded. "I had two best friends. Noel and Steph. They were so beautiful. I've thought of them a few times before going to sleep. I miss them and sometimes I wonder what do they think happened to me. We got into this really ridiculous 'argument' and I just walked away from them. They must think I really hate them."
Sam rubbed my back and hugged me. "I doubt they think you hate them. If they really were your best friends, they probably tried searching for you. Unless Cas made them forget who you were too."
I sighed and pouted my lips. It sucks knowing that the people you grew up with have no memory of you while you hold all the memories of the past.
"Did you ever wish to grow older with a husband and kids?" Sam asked seriously.
I didn't answer his question right away. I mean I have thought about my future before, I just never thought the fact of having a chance of having a family would've been taken away from me so early in my life.
I nodded my head. "Yeah actually I always wanted to have a steady job working in the hospital and coming home to a husband. I always thought that eventually I would have my children running up to me and showering me with hugs and kisses because I've been working all day."
All Sam did was nod and look to his feet. I know there was a point in his life when he thought he was going to have the same thing with Jess. Unfortunately, we can't always get what we want. Especially in a life that you were unwillingly born into.
"What about you? Had you always wanted to be a lawyer?"
He slightly laughed. "No. Don't make fun of me but I always wanted to be a firefighter. When my mom died, I thought it was a coincidence how she died. So I changed my mind when I ran away from my dad and the life that I didn't want. I thought maybe it would be much easier to stand up for people who were innocent of a crime they didn't commit."
"Hey speaking of your mom, she is one person I have yet to meet. Where is she? Last time I asked about her, you guys said that she was on some hunt a few states over."
