Lessons started and i secretly texted Delvin for the classes we weren't in with each other. However, we were in quite a lot with each other and always sat next to each other and passed notes. We met outside Science and proceeded to walk to English, me again trying not to trip being clumsy. We entered English talking about Connor Franta's new video and what his short ones were leading up to. I was holding my sketchbook; and as i had had it for so many years it was starting to wear away a bit and pages were falling out. I clutched it tightly not wanting my secrets to tumble out.
Unfortunately my small fingers just weren't big enough and a page slipped. I didn't realise until the girl i had drawn on Friday picked it up. She tapped me on the back and said "excuse me, Daisy right?" Her voice echoed in my ears playing a nice sound. Then reality struck me, please please no, i dropped a sheet of paper from my book, didn't I? I was praying it wasn't the one of her, how could i be so stupid? I turned around looking; squeaking quietly, "yes?" i looked down to a sigh of relief it wasn't the one of her. It was one of a girl with a body but her head was planets and the solar system. She smiled handed it back to me, "that's really good you know?". First, A-I was stunned she knew my name, Savannah was really popular but not a bitchy type; and B-She fucking complimented my drawing, which even I didn't think was that great.
"Uh...t-thanks very much" I stuttered taking my drawing when our finger tips touched, it was only a peck but it sent a paralysed feeling through my body, what was going on? I blushed and put it into my book and blushed a little harder when she smiled through her beautiful lush half Asian half English skin, and sat back down. I looked back at Delvin him giving me the 'wtf just happened bitch' face. I shrugged and went to sit down next to him. He stared at me with confusion but a little grin, he finally said, while i continued to set my books out. "Omg you're blushing, what happened?" he started to laugh and grin but quietly not to embarrass me. "W-what..." i felt so red and scrunched my face into my t-shirt trying to hide it.
Savannah glanced back at me smiling a little with her adorable smile and soft lips. I smiled a tiny smile back. I was so confused, why was i so nervous and blushing around her. It was probably because she was popular and I...well just not. Her beauty seemed to pass anyone else's though and her wavy hair and cute outfit...ok just shut up Daisy, i thought to myself. Delvin was still giggling, assuming he could read my thoughts because we were basically the same person. Lesson was nearly over and i was bored out of my mind while passing notes to Delvin. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened between me and Savannah, she was so nice to me. I had never felt such a tingling and embarrassed but excited feeling within me like this.
The bell sang and kids poured out of classes rushing to the lunch hall. Me and Delvin just took our time swaying through the hall in a very comfortable silence. I loved how we didn't have to talk and I still loved his company. We walked outside and picked a spot on the field under a big oak tree and took out our lunch. Delvin crossed his legs as so did I, and began to speak "So, why were you blushing so much, like i get you get embarrassed easily, haha but..." He was cut off by our other friends Summer and Noah shouting "Hey guys!". Summer and Noah were our great friends, they had so much in common with us and we all shared nearly everything. Noah had blonde scruffy and shaggy hair that reached his eyebrows and perimeter-ed his face like that, but trendy. Summer was gorgeous with brown locks that went blonde near the end and a small but cute face. We waved and gestured them to sit next to us. My face was still a little pink from Delvin's question but i guess luck had my side. We started throwing our favourite sweets into each others mouth-Mini Eggs. Talked about songs, youtube, lessons and...tea. ;)
The day had come to an end and teenagers were walking out of school tired and sleepy. I grabbed my bike shouted bye to my friends and cycled on. I was thinking about the day and Savannah when i nearly slipped but swerved to keep my balance. I shook my head thinking that this was utter nonsense and continued. I pulled in to my blue moonlit place and went to my usual spot to sit down. I pulled my sketchbook and camera; snapped few shots where the sun peaked through the trees so perfectly, its rays glimmering through the whole lake. I put it back not wanting to drop it, me being me. I started to draw a picture of a girl lost in a woods searching between two paths. My back was aching so I got up to stretch. The rotting wooden pier was creaking and bending inwards as i applied pressure. I heard a voice in the distance and footsteps running fast.
I swivelled round then realising the floor was caving inwards and let out a snap.
