Arias POV
I awoke at 4:00am curled up in Ashton's arms, dressed in nothing but his shirt after last night's shenanigans. I realized I had been rudely awoken by Ashton's alarm and I felt a lump begin to form in my throats but I needed to be strong. It was the morning of the day we both dreaded. Ashton hadn't moved so I nudged him. He fidgeted a little but didn't wake up. I felt he was playing a game so I reached up and kissed him. He responded to the kiss as expected and when I pulled away I said
'Good Morning sleepy head' with a smile plastering my face.
'Good morning beautiful.' He replied, kissing me again.
'We've got to get up otherwise you will miss the plane.' I murmured.
'I don't want to go I'd rather stay here with you.' He grumbled.
'I don't want you to go either... but you have to for the guys and for the band.' I encouraged, trying to convince both him and myself.
I got up and went into the bathroom. It was a bit of a struggle as I was aching from last night. It was a special night. I pulled Ashton's shirt over my head and turned the shower on. I checked the temperature and went to step in. Before I could I felt arms wrap around my waist.
'Can I join you?' he whispered in my ear.
'Sure, but we have to hurry though.' I replied in almost the same whisper. We stepped into the shower and just held each other close, only letting go to wash. I didn't ever want to let him go. I knew that it was going to be hard to say goodbye, even though I would see him again in a month.
'Dougie said he would take us all to the airport. He stayed at Tom's last night, said he wanted to give us some time on our own. I've already text Calum to let him know he's giving us a lift, and will stop at the house and pick the others up around 5:30am. I've told him to tell the others.' I explained as we were both getting dressed.
'It's like you want to get rid of me.' Ashton said sadly.
'Never.' I whispered, going on my tiptoes so I could kiss him.
Dougies POV
I got to the house at about 5am. I unlocked the door and walked to the stairs. I yelled up to Aria and Ashton to let them know I was home and ready whenever they were. I was slightly worried about how this whole thing would affect Aria. Yes she has been on her own for a while now, but I knew how much she loved Ashton. 5 minutes later Ashton appeared.
'Hey mate, how you doing?' he greeted cheerfully.
'Not too bad thanks, you?' I replied.
'I'll be okay. Thanks for the lift, it's much appreciated. Aria will be down in a minute. She's a bit emotional, we both are' he said sadly. Moments later Aria appeared, slightly red faced. She ran straight into my arms.
'This is why I'm giving you a lift if I'm honest' I said hugging Aria.
'Thanks Dougie' Ashton said guiltily.
Soon we were setting off in a van I'd borrowed from a friend, on our way to the 5 Seconds of Summer household. Ashton made light conversation on the way there, but Aria was very quiet. We were soon at the house. Ashton and Aria both got out of the car, Aria so she could hug Michael, Calum and Luke. Ashton had to collect his suitcase, which he had packed a few nights before. After about 10 minutes of faffing around we were on our way to Heathrow.
Ashton's POV
We arrived at a very busy airport. Greeted by management at the entrance as we were told. Aria was shivering so I put my jacket over her shoulders, the same one I was wearing when we first met. She pulled it around her and I hugged her close to my chest. We hadn't gone public with our relationship yet. We hadn't really talked about it, we were just enjoying ourselves. I knew that people were bound to ask questions seeing us both at the airport as we were. We didn't really care, all we really cared about was each other. We made our way through the airport. We had about an hour to wait so we checked in, went through security and went to find some seats. While we were waiting I thought it would be a good time to make our relationship public. Aria agreed so I sent a simple tweet, with a picture of me with Aria led on my chest. It said...
'I can't wait to meet our American fans, but I'm sad to be leaving @Aria_Poynter3011 for a whole month </3 :'( xx'. Her phone went off and she read what I put. Instantly the fans began commenting. She began typing and I watched over her shoulder.
'@Ashton5SOS I'm going to miss you so much, but I'm flying over to see you in a month, just got to look at the positives <3 xx'.
The time flew by, and soon it was time for us to board our flight.
'Ash come on we've got to go.' Michael said.
'Just give me a minute Mike.' I replied. I stood up with Aria and slowly walked over to the gate. I pulled her in close to me, tears were already threatening to leave her eyes. She looked up at me and a cascade of tears fell on to her cheeks. This made me well up.
'Hey, none of that. As you said I'll see you in a month.' I encourage, leaning down to kiss her. It was a passionate kiss and I didn't want it to end. I knew I wasn't going to see her for a month and I wanted it to last.
'I know I'm just going to miss you that's all' she sobbed.
'I will miss you too. I will skype you later and call you when I land.' I reply, tears now quietly falling down my face now. I wipe them away quickly.
'Come on Ashton we've got to board' Luke says.
'Okay I'm coming.' He replies. Luke hugs Aria and bids his farewells followed by the others.
'What about your jacket?' she asks, going to take it off.
'Keep it, I've got more in my suitcase.' I smile at her encouragingly. I hug her and kiss her one last time.
'I love you' I whisper, worried more tears would fall.
'I love you too' she mumbles into my chest. I pull away and look towards the guys.
'I will see you in a month.' I say positively.
'Yeah' she agrees and smiles weekly. I say goodbye and walk with the other guys through the gate. I keep turning around until I can no longer see her. I see her keep looking and waving, Dougie now by her side comforting her.
