Aria's POV
We hadn't seen a car for miles. As we drove further and further into the middle of nowhere, we sat discussing different things that had happened over the past month we were apart. I turned on the radio but there was nothing but static on every channel. About an hour and a half into the journey we pulled up into a clearing. It was bare apart from a few trees circling the dust covered ground. The roots of the trees were covered with grass, and sticks that must have broken off from the most recent storm were scattered on the floor. I could hear a river somewhere nearby, but I couldn't quite make out where because it was so dark. Other then the car headlights, the only light we had came from the harvest moon and some fireflies that were flying around our heads.

Ashton pulled a picnic mat, a blanket and a picnic basket out of the boot and laid it all out on the dust covered ground.

'You came prepared' I commented slightly amused. He smiled but said no words. Instead he proceeded to collect some sticks from the trees. He brought them close enough to the picnic stuff to keep us warm and piled them up.

'How are you planning to light them exactly' I questioned, as I did he pulled out a pack of matches out of his pocket.

'As you said, I came prepared' he smiled.

'You planned this all along, didn't you?' I accused, smiling back. Again he didn't say anything he just continued smiling as he lit the fire.

Ashton's POV
How did I get so lucky? She was so perfect to me. This is why I had planned this little surprise. I mean it started off a little slow with the party and all. Now we are alone, in the middle of nowhere. We couldn't even see the lights from the city far in the distance. No distractions. Just me and Aria. I got the idea when we drove past this place on the way to a photo shoot last week.

'Babe, could you turn the headlights off for me? We don't want to be stranded out here in the middle of nowhere' I joked, as I finished setting up the fire.

'Sure' she replied. As she got up I followed her, having finished what I was doing. I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her tight.

'I love you' I whispered.

'I love you too' she blushed.

'You hungry?' I asked.

'Starving' she replied.

'Come on then, but I'm warning you its nothing fancy. Just a few sausage rolls and some sandwiches' I laughed while setting myself on the mat and opening the picnic basket.

'Is this really the reason you wanted to leave so early?' She laughed, taking out an ice pack I'd borrowed from the hotel kitchen to keep the food cool.

'Partly, but I mostly wanted to spend time with you' I smiled. I carried on taking the food out and laying it on the mat. The hotel had been great with the food. We had all sorts and they'd even said they decorate our room for us while we were out.

Aria's POV
I was led wearing Ashton's jacket, my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. I could hear the running water from the river and the crickets in the grass almost sounding like some sort of choir. His heartbeat was loudest though, like there was a drum in his chest. He looked amazing in this light. The fireflies were now in their hundreds and the place looked like it was out of a dream. I got up to take a few pictures to remember the night and took a few of me and Ashton. We didn't have to worry about being disturbed by anyone because we couldn't get signal out here. It was so peaceful. Just me and Ashton together for this one night.

I hadn't stopped smiling since we had arrived. I noticed Ashton was staring at me as I was trying to catch the fireflies in my hands.

'You okay?' I ask smiling. He nodded while he seemed transfixed on me.

'You're the most beautiful women I have ever seen' he complemented. I blushed and shook my head.

'Dance with me?' Ashton said suddenly. I looked at him

'I don't dance, I don't even know how too' I say slightly embarrassed.

'I'll show you how, come here' he pleaded. I shook my head so he pulled me up.

'But there's no music' I laugh.

'We don't need music, stand on my feet.' He replied smiling. I did I was told and we just held each other close while he stepped from side to side. He was humming the tune of the song he had written for me.

Ashton's POV
I looked down at her, still standing on my feet as I guided her around our dusty make shift dance floor. I kissed her passionately. She pulled away

'Thank you for tonight, I've loved every minute of it. Especially this, spending time with you in the beautiful place' she said beaming at me.

'Baby girl, the night isn't over yet. Shall we head back.' I said biting my bottom lip. She nodded and we cleared the picnic stuff away.
