"My..my dad was doing so well." I sobbed violently.
"What happened?" Miles asked again. Despite his earlier angry mood, which I was pretty sure was him psyching himself up for an argument, he now comforted me patiently and pushed his problems aside. He put the pillows back on the sofa tidily and arranged the cushions back onto it. "He got fired." I mumble.
"Fired?" He replied in disbelief. He shakes his head. "Oh my god Olivia. Come here." He puts his arms round me and lets me cry for as long as I need.
It's an embarrassing amount of time before I'm okay enough to talk again. "He was starting to do some more jobs, taking over the dinners. And now it's all been screwed up. He's in his room asleep right now. If he doesn't come out it's gonna be like it was 3 years ago. Oh my god, I can't do that... I won't do that... not... not again!" I start getting worked up.
"Hey! Hey ... we won't let that happen. I promise." He had his arm round me and rubbing my back.
It was heart breaking looking around. I got up from the sofa and started working on putting the books back in the book shelf.
"Stop, come on you're upset ." He sighed as he grabbed my hands. He was trying to stop me again. "If I start now I should be able to get the downstairs tidy." I respond. Better to get to work.

"Are you kidding me? You aren't gonna clean all this." Miles stares at me annoyed. "What other choice do I have? I know it's not fun to watch and that you'd rather be with Tristan but this is my life okay. So you can just go home. I don't care." I turn back to the books angrily. I didn't mean to snap but it was probably what he was thinking. Probably.

"I'm gonna call a cleaner." Miles shakes his head dismissing what I had said and dials a number.
"We don't need a cleaner." I reply quickly. I could handle it. "Really?! Because judging by the mess it really looks like you do!" He exclaimed gesturing around him.
