I have been in Juvie for about two weeks, and it's nice. I know that sounds messed up, but it's what I'm used to; having everything planned out for me. There's no freedom, though, but that just means no room to mess around...unless you know the right guards...unfortunately I'm not that lucky.

I'm not friends with any of the guards, but the lunch ladies, I'm close with...Margo and Frankie. They're awesome. I always get a little more than everyone else.

I was supposed to be back at Eve's house like a week and a half ago, but the paperwork was put on the back burner when this new girl came in, she's pretty chill unless she doesn't like you. I mean, I didn't even mean to meet her, it was an accident, but I'm okay with this accident.

Her name is JoJo...she's from Vermont too, and I guess that's how we clicked. I would say she's the closest thing to a friend I got here, I usually keep to myself. Anyway, she doesn't like to listen, which means even more paperwork.

"Beck! Come to the guard's station, now!" I stood up from the bench press and walked over to the station.

"What?" The guard looked at me and scoffed.

"You have visitors, and don't give the attitude, girl!" I rolled my eyes, but followed her anyway.

We walked down the several halls to get to the enclosed room. There was a table with chairs on both sides, the table was a pretty good size, there was a 'mirror' on the wall so then the guards could monitor me and whoever was visiting me. They had me sit down and wait for the people to come in.

BEEP! I looked towards the door to see James come in first, followed by Eve, who was then followed by Kaidan, who was then followed by Nathan. I gave a small wave to everyone.

"Hi." I looked at everyone in the face.

"That's it, just 'Hi.' Nothing else?" I shrugged.

"Nope." Kaidan huffed...

"Well, I thought you were coming home like a week ago?" I laughed.

"Awe man! So did I, but this girl named JoJo came, and well she liked to cause trouble, which then makes a lot of paperwork, which then shoved my release papers back on the list." James smiled at me, which I returned.

"She sounds awful..." I looked at Kaidan and shook my head.

"She does doesn't she? She's actually pretty awesome...the closest thing to a friend I've ever had." I saw the hurt look on James's face. "Besides you guys..." There was an awkward silence...

"Oh...anyway, we came to check up on you..." I shrugged and smiled.

"You don't need to, I'm perfectly fine here..." James furrowed his eyebrows.

"You seem happier here than you do at Aunt Eve's house." I shrugged my shoulders. Not having an answer to that. I looked at Eve and saw the hurt on her face.

Finally Nathan spoke up. "You have to understand, that for two years, this was Beck's home. This is what she's used to...these are the girls she's used to, not the kind, caring people, but the harsh and bitter guards. She's used to having everything planned out or her, used to wearing those awful uniforms and eating what she's given, which isn't the best. She had to make herself comfortable her and she is. This is her version of safety, not being in a comfortable bed wrapped in blankets. Beck, has had a lot of change in her life, but for two years while everything else was falling apart everything in here never changed. She had the same schedule everyday, the same outfit, the same people." I looked down at the floor.

"Oh, honey!" Eve looked like she was going to get up and hugged me.

"Don't!" She looked hurt and tears started to form in her eyes. "If you touch me in any way, you won't be able to visit me anymore...it's not allowed, because you could be smuggling something, so then you won't be able to visit me at all." She nodded her head.

"Okay...I'm sorry, Dear..." I shook my head.

"I honestly fine..." I laughed and quickly covered my mouth.

"Beck?" I took a deep breath.

"That's not what I meant, Eve!" She smiled at me.

"I know what you meant..." I smiled and shrugged my shoulders.

I looked up at Nathan. "What day?" He took a deep breath.

"Maybe in two days? I'm not sure, though..." I shrugged my shoulders...

BEEP BEEP BEEP

"Times up, bye guys!"

With that I stood up and walked through the door, not looking back at anyone...
