I'm finally back at Eve's house...I'm still not sure how to feel. I mean I like being out of Juvie, but I like being there at the same time...it doesn't really make any sense...

"Beck! Come on! You're going to be late for school!" I huffed and threw on some clothes. I was wearing a white tank, black pants, sneakers, and a red hat. I ran downstairs and smiled at Eve.

"Finally! Dude, you took forever! I thought I was going to have to go up there and dump water on you!" I look over to see James sitting at the kitchen table with Kaidan.

"Seriously? I just got up! Like five minutes ago!" They both shrugged and stood up.

"Bye, Aunt Eve!" James hugged Eve and walked towards me.

"Bye Eve." Kaidan walked out the door.

"What's his mood for...It looks like he swallowed a lemon." I whispered to James. He laughed at that, while I looked really confused, none of that was funny.

"I'm pretty sure you meant bit a lemon?" I scoffed.

"No, I meant swallowed a lemon...I mean they're huge, so it must be uncomfortable to swallow one...duh!" He nodded his head and shrugged.

"Whatever, but we need to leave, so let's go." He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the car.

"Stop pulling on me, you douche!" He rolled his eyes, but let go of me anyway...

When we pulled into the school, James found a parking space and the three of us got out. I turned to the boys, "Okay, so I'm going to go one way and you guys go the other...that way people don't think I have actual friends..." With that I turned around and walked away.

I heard footsteps behind me and before I could turn around, James and Kaidan were walking besides me...I just smiled at them and continued walking. I wasn't gonna lie anymore, it was nice having friends even if they were douche nuggets.

When we finally made it into the school everyone stopped talking and stared at me. I rolled my eyes and continued walking down the hall...I guess this is what happens when the new girl doesn't come to school for more than two weeks. I could hear what people were saying, and it bugged me, but who cares. I am stronger than letting myself react...

Oh my god! She's back...I heard she murdered someone and had to go to Juvie, but she sweet talked them and they let her go.

Really? I heard that she got caught selling her body, for like money, and had to go back to Juvie...

I rolled my eyes at them, they were honestly stupid for thinking such ridiculous things. As we continued down the hall people started to realize Kaidan and James were walking with me.

Oh my god! She is such a slut! I can't believe she has both of them...she's probably sleeping with both of them...

Caitlyn really? Why would they sleep with someone like her?

That was it I had enough. I slammed the girl against the locker and got in her face.

"I am not a flipping slut! So shut your trap!" Fear was clear as day in her eyes.

"Beck, come on, it's not worth it..." Kaidan said.

"Yeah, it's just worthless gossip between stupid girls, come on." James tugged on my arm and I backed up, but I ran out of the school and onto the football field. I climbed onto the goalposts and just sat up there. I could feel the breeze and smell the fresh air...it was nice.

The boys climbed up and sat with me, and I couldn't handle it anymore, so I started telling them my story.

"I was really close with my younger brother. I mean we fought, but it was just stupid sibling banter." I took a deep breath.

"Beck, you don't need to tell us, you already did." Kaidan whispered.

"No, I told why I was sent to Juvie, not why my parents disowned me." They looked at me and nodded their heads, so I continued. "All the time, it was him and me. I was close to my other siblings, but we just had this bond, I guess. Anyway, my parents always put me in charge of him. I was supposed to protect him, all of my siblings really. I was forced to grow up at a young age, I never really minded it though..." I took a deep breath. "My parents and I were already in a rough patch. I had gotten accepted into this really great private school, a full scholarship too. It was a great, no amazing school, but it was too far away. All the way down in Florida, and I wasn't willing to leave the life I knew for that. Anyway, after the accident, they blamed me for his death, and even though we weren't a family of higher class they refused to have a daughter that went to Juvie, refused to have a disgrace of a child. So they gave up all rights to the state, and changed my last name.  I was no longer a Mora, but a Marie. I had no one. My siblings weren't aloud to talk to me, but my younger sister sent me a few letters in the mail form her friends house. But I had no one. I was alone, lost." They looked at me.

"Wow, your parents seem awful." I laughed at Kaidan.

"They were." He smiled.

"Don't worry Beck, you're not alone anymore, you have us. You don't need to be lost anymore..." I smiled at James.

"Yeah, we're here forever."

I smiled, because I knew they were right...I wasn't alone anymore...I wasn't lost anymore...
